100 Days Sober and Counting...

That is amazing to me.  A few months ago if you were to ask me if I would still be sober now, I would have told you no.  "It is too hard to quit," I would have told you.  Everyday it gets easier.  Everyday, I thank my higher power and the group of AA for my sobriety.  Now, if I can just make it 365 days, then I will get an almost gold medallion at my AA meeting of choice and birthday cake and ice cream along with bad singing.

I had to go into work early today for an early delivery.  The hardest part of my job is all the phone calls I have to make for directions and such.  I get so nervous that my voice squeaks and my hands shake.  Tim, an employee of my father, asked today if I had seen a ghost I looked so white.  I told him I had to make a phone call about a delivery and he got the most curious look upon his face.

  4. It serves to reason that the phone calls will become easier over time. The phone calls benefit the person you are talking to, they are not getting or taking anything from you. Think about that!

I am totally impressed with the 100 days! AWESOME~

  8. CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so proud of you! I knew you could do it. Take yourself out to dinner or celebrate somehow.

As for the phone... I hate it too. Really. I will avoid making phone calls as long as humanly possible. I don't know why.

    Take care friend!

  11. It really is amazing and fantastic Andrew. You should be so proud of yourself!

How about a 'company' GPS to get you around?

  12. Again congrats! The phone calls WILL get easier plus you can always use Mapquest or Google maps.

Plus after a while you will soon learn all the local roads anyway so you might not have to call as much.

I don't believe in higher powers or luck, I believe it is only your own strong will which took you to this point.

  27. Congratulations!! 100 DAYS!!! Definitely work for that cake! Maybe someone will send you ear plugs for the singing. ;-) As for the phone calls.. *shudder* I get the same way. It's hard to explain to people why I avoid the phone. I cringe when it rings. So why on earth do I have a cell phone? @@ at self.

  28. Many, many congratulations Andrew! Before you know it, you will be eating that cake:)
I think the calls should get easier the more you do it, but if it's just directions you need, there's always mapquest.
Hope you're having a great Friday!
