Easy peasy. Buy 8 yards of denim. Cut it into 2 4-yard pieces. Ask someone to seam the two pieces together lengthwise so you have a 4-yard long piece the width of the two pieces of denim. You can even hem it with iron-on tape. If you don't know someone who sews, take it to the dry cleaners that has someone who does hems and things. Makes a sturdy throw that you can tuck in and around to look neat and the dog cannot destoy the couch nor the throw.
