Life's Hurdles Can Be Hard Sometimes...

I was just over at my parent's house getting my diet Cokes and cigarillos for the day. Mom and I had a short conversation and I told her to call me if she needed me. She was complaining about her feet hurting her today. I got in my car and drove home. Well, my father just called and said my mother collapsed to the floor in her bedroom and just died. I am just shocked and stunned at the moment.

    Ive been a reader of Jonathon's for about 8 years or so. He is not making this up. And this is no surprise to those of us who have read here about his mother's health. It's not the time to discuss that, but rather the time to be supportive of he and his family. We are his friends and he needs us. I am praying for him and his family. We may not hear from him in a while.

    I am sorry for them all, most especially him. She was his comrade in arms. Always supporting him. She was a lovely, caring mother. God rest her soul.

    Andrew, although we do not know each other, I have been reading your blog for several years. My kindest and warmest thoughts go to you and your family at this time of loss. Your mother was so special to you and you to her. She loved you a bunch and you were a good son to her. Your Dad is going to need you and you will need him.
    It is a shock to lose her so suddenly . it will take time for you to recover but you will. Take comfort in that your Mom didn't suffer. My father died 3 weeks ago. He was sick for a short time and I am relieved that he did not suffer . Stay strong and stay on track. My condolences.
