Tender Liaisons

We curled up on the bed after a lunch of Arby's fine cuisine.

"I'm taking a nap," she said. "I still haven't caught up on my sleep."

I lay beside her and watched as she pulled my covers around her and closed her eyes.

"I love you," I said softly.

Her eyes fluttered open.

"What?"

"I love you."

"And all this time I thought you were gay," Rosa replied jokingly. "I thought you would never get the hint."

We burst out laughing and held each other. I then snuck in here to write about it. She is fast asleep in the bed.

    btw.. i liked your previous blog template better. it gave me a feel of openness - this is more like from a confined drawing room.

    Yay! I knew she would be receptive. You swank man, you! ;o) I am so glad you did it. I was worried you might chicken out... I mean, that was a big thing you said there. Falling for your best friend is one of the best feelings in the world. Trust me... five years and two beautiful twin boys later and I still feel the same with him as I did back when.

    I have to say that some of the best "I love you's" ever were followed by laughter!!! Not mushy lovey dovey "I love you's"....ones that make you laugh......Congrats on finally saying it outloud!!
