I have ALWAYS thought they should be called purple buds not redbuds because while the flowers are pink (not red) the buds themselves are purple. glad someone out there agrees with me. ☺ I say we rename ( if only for us) beautiful whatever the name.

ReplyDeleteI love Redbuds. I had one in my backyard but the conditions weren't right and it died. I think they grow better in the South. Lucky you!
