Canon A640 Test Video
These are the first virgin shots from my camera I finally received tonight. This thing is surprisingly small; much smaller than I had imagined. Here is a high ISO low light shot of the camera followed by a video of Maggie. I will get better at this as I learn how to use this camera. I have yet to look at the manual yet and can’t wait to start taking nature macros tomorrow.

Oh My!!! How cute is Maggie!!! She is exactly what I pictured her to be, and we all know how one usually develops mental picture that's nothing like the real thing. She is adorable!!

Since you have rejoined the tobacco hobby, I would greatly enjoy seeing a photograph of your pipe if you can with your camera.
Keep in mind that Sir Walter Raleigh is far more economical and tasty than cigarettes if you decide you need to economize. Prince Albert is pretty good as well.

I have the same camera and found that even you have the slight high pitched noise in the background of the audio. You will notice it when recording silence, or in the gaps inbetween talking. Mine is much worse than yours was, but I think canon screwed up on this part. Most likely they will ignore this issue and do nothing about it, because thats the way corporations make their money. Other than that the camera is awesome. (i use audio software to remove the high pitch in the sound) :)
