In the bag was an apron which confirms I will be a line cook. I would have had a tie if I were working the front end. This is looking much better all the time.
For Cheryl: I get one "free" meal per shift during my thirty minute break. A sandwich of my choice, small fries, and a small drink.

looks good man. i think the night shift and not having to deal with the public so much will be good for the transition.
it's starting to look and feel a lot like spring around here. it just feels like everything is going to be good and it looks like things are the same for you!
good luck! don't get discouraged! just keep breathing :)

Oh, I think I am as excited as you are. I love that twitter update thingy.
I am so excited for you. Go out there and knock 'em dead. Try to have fun :)
Best wishes tonight Andrew! I'll be thinking of you during your shift. I know you can do it!
This is great news, especially with your cooking skills. Good news about only having to work the drive-in during your work hours.
Good Luck tonight!
Good luck tonight, can't wait until tomorrow to find out how it all went. If you get sleepy splash cold water on your face or get some coffee or coke for the caffeine. Hope your feet don't hurt too much tomorrow-have you got good comfy shoes and thick socks? Nothing worse than sore feet after being on them all night!
I agree with making sure you have good socks and shoes. That will help a ton.
I'm so excited for you. I know you will do well. Concentrate on your job and nothing else will bother you.
God bless you and I can't wait to hear how it goes!
If you can, you may want to look into your disability options. Just because you can work a minimum wage job shouldn't mean you are not disabled and can't receive the income. I have a disabled brother who works full time and has for many years... but his disability expenses used up enough of the money that he still qualifies to continue to receive disability. There may be options, if you can find a lawyer or other knowledgeable person to assist you in fighting for it... seems at least worth looking into if you haven't already.
Also... I just wanted to thank you for the daffodil shot. I love floral closeups, and daffodils are my absolutely favorite flower. I really appreciated that post. :)
Congratulations on starting the new job... it may be tough at times, but I know you can do it! You've shown us all repeatedly how strong you can be.
Have fun & Good Luck!
good luck, and have a filet-o-fish for me!!!!
I actually smiled when I read "this is looking much better all the time"
I am sure you will do great.
My best wishes Andrew.
Congrads, but I'm not sure a free meal per day at McDees is a good thing.
10:00 p.m. group hug (cyber-style) for Andrew. :)
I'm sorry you're so nervous. I think you'll find you'll be just fine. Remember...I know anxiety. Stay in the moment.
Later, my friend. And remember...count the shreds for me.
I'm in on the cyber-hug! Good luck! I'm so excited!

congrats on your job! I haven't checked in for a while, it's good to see you're doing well. You only get a small drink? do you get refills? I feel like that's very stingy. I mean the food part isn't, but a small drink? what the?
It is 10pm - hope your first night went super well!! Can't wait to hear from you tomorrow
Wow look at the counter 83 days!! Way to Go, Andrew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can do this!
