Great photo! I'm with you about it getting dark so early. I HATE this slow time (EST). That would be CST for you, I believe. Try getting the enercy saving bulbs that put of the equivalent of 100 watts. They do make a difference. I can't stand those bulbs that put out the 60w equivalent. Those 60w (actually 13w) are what I call mood lights, barely enough light to get around in the room. LOL! I believe those 100w equivalent actually are only using 25w of electricity. They them, you might like them.
Some of us actually like gloomy days. Don't ask me why. Could be because we grew up in near the Great Lakes which have more cloud-cover during the year than any other spot in the United States.
