My camera should be here in two days. It almost feels like Christmas. I haven't been this excited about something since last Christmas and the camera I got a few days after. I adore taking pictures! I have so many grand projects dreamed up to share over the next few weeks.
I am experiencing problems with Windows Vista these past few days. It seems Windows gets increasingly corrupt the longer my computer goes without a reboot. It is so frustrating and makes me think I am going to have to reinstall Windows which will be a chore. At first, I thought I was running out of memory, but I have 2 gigs of RAM in this machine. It is always something when it concerns computers. I was going to revert back to WindowsXP, but MicroShaft says I have activated my copy too many times and need to buy another. ARGGGG!!!!

I had the same problem, then I did a disk cleanup and defrag and it helped a great deal.
P.S. - your new camera looks awesome.
I know you are excited about your new digital camera! If this is the one you purchased, I notice it is a 12.1 mega pixels. The quality of the photos should be really good. I'm in the market for a digital, but I've got my eye on the Sony with the Carl Zeiss lens. It's small, very compact and I will be able to take it with me, just like my cell phone. Then the camera will necessitate a new printer. One thing calls for another. I feel for you on the computer problems. I totally computer challenged and always have to have help solving any problems we encounter. Good luck get the problem resolved.

I always like having something to look forward to and feel excited about. It sure picks me up, so I am excited for you as you wait for your camera and I can't wait to see your pictures.
My husband loves to take photos, too. He just won his first Blue ribbon at the fair for a photo. He enjoys entering them so much, even though it is a bit of work.
It is a fun hobby for him.

I've tried to install it, but it hangs during the install process when the Linux kernel is loaded. I would love to run Linux.
Andrew, I'm certainly anything but a computer whiz so anything I offer in the way of a fix is of no use. BUT.........have you considered talking to a techie and telling them that your computer crashed and that you had to install a new harddisk. Tell them that you need to have your copy reactivated because you tried to reload a couple of times.
love the new camera! I'm looking to purchase a new one in the next few months. I have that same problem with Windows Vista, or maybe it's all those shoot 'em up games my boys download. I've never liked Vista and wish I could go back.
hi Andrew...getting excited on your behalf too! and...i'm experiencing the SAME thing with Vista here! I had to reboot last week Thursday...tried also system restore twice...didn't want to do it! that's why i'm not posting regular as earlier..still having problems...try to sort it out...even with internet explorer now...good luck with yours!

I have heard so many complaints about Windows Vista that I am dreading the day when I will have to switch to it. Why can't they troubleshoot these things before they sell them?! Hope you can get it worked out. I know how much you use your computer. I would be miserable without mine.
