It has been a quiet day. I spent most of the afternoon working on various model railroading projects. Mom was over here all day as well. She was lonely and didn't want to be alone. We both grabbed a quick lunch at McDonalds. I outdid myself and ate two Big Macs and an extra large fries. Needless to say, I am full.
I am still trying to teach Mom to use the computer. It is almost as if she is afraid of it. Before I know it, she will have a blog and a Myspace account.

Sounds like a nice peaceful day. What more can we ask for? i can't wait until Mom starts blogging. Who knows what she would write?
Sounds like a nice day. Enjoy the railroaders magazine.
I have missed you, when will you come back to posting regularily?
B~
How are you doing, Andrew? It sounds like you are having a hard week...I hope that you start feeling better, and more like your usual, chatty self, soon!!!
Hugs, friend.
:)
I think that it is so cool that you are teaching your mom the computer. She will get the hang of it. I can't wait for her blog, either!
Quiet days are nice, aren't they? I could sure use one. If anyone can show your mom how to love and use the computer, you can! You're a great son.
Do you have a railroad set up already?
My mom was slow and nervous about using a computer and was concerned that she would break it but now she uses it daily to email and look up recipes. I always tend to overeat when I go to McDonalds and get the fries. I hope that your Friday is a good and peaceful day.
hi friend...i sure am in the mood to write and started writing and realized that i already wrote you one time already today.i hope that you have a good weekend friend. take great care of yourself..i think today mom and i are going to go to mcdonalds or some other fast food place that we can eat in the car and that gracie can go with us.she sure loves going for a ride in the car............
I think it's great that you're teaching your mom to use the computer. She's afraid of it now but after she practices and gets used to it, I'm sure she'll enjoy it. She should start with a blog, it's easier to manage than MySpace which now has all those add-ons and wild music and what have you. On Facebook, we have groups for women who are 50+, she might like that or a special interest group--there's one for everything you can think of, reading, photography, TV shows, movies, etc etc etc. The one thing with Facebook is you can get addicted to all their add-ons too and it can become a royal PITA
hey man.. where are you? i'm not used to seein you not post everyday.. or even more than once a day-- you ok???
(it would be funny to your mom with a blog-- she'd be the most popular mom on the blog-- :)) right off the bat too i betcha-
i hope you're havin a good day
btw-- the offer for a rod and reel still stands :)) email me-
hey, it is saturday and you haven't posted since thursday. where are you??
I haven't checked my Reader since Thursday and was surprised to see you hadn't written since then. Are you doing OK?
Good luck to your Mom in catching up with the computer world. I am sure she will love it once she gets past the fear. I have met a lot of people my age or older that really are afraid of the computer because of change or afraid they will break it or whatever. Oddly enough, the most computer challenged person I have ever seen though is my nephew who succeeded in destroying a couple of computers and wiping the hard drive on a computer I loaned him while I worked on his other computer! go figure!
