I'm getting old. I will be 46 years old this coming April. I woke up again with an extremely sore and stiff neck. I am using a much stiffer and supportive pillow (a pillow Charlie bought for me) and it helps immensely, but it is still not perfect. I know I need to go to the doctor, but I dread waiting in those lobbies for a visit. It always piques my anxiety. My time is valuable, too!
Groceries Were a No Go...
I waved off grocery buying again last night.
"Whatever you want to do," Old Fuss and Feathers told me last night surprisingly.
He was busy watching Jeopardy at the time. I thought he would deride me and try and coerce me into going. I said we will go Wednesday night. Dad insists on going around 9 PM which is almost too late for me. I was just dead tired and exhausted when 7 PM rolled around last night and I went to bed after calling my father. I went fast asleep in an instance and slept another 9 or 10 hours overnight. It was wonderful.
Now Where Did that Darn Dog Go?
I couldn't find the Magster this morning. I looked in every room and finally found her laying in the most unlikely place. In the kitchen on the cold kitchen floor. I laughed and chuckled. She was waiting for me to start breakfast. I toasted some leftover biscuits, fixed a pot of cheese grits, and fried the last of my bacon. My grits were especially creamy, cheesy, and buttery this morning -- wholesome stick to your ribs kind of food.

I was just thinking about your grocery phobia. I can sort of see "Dad"'s theory of later the night the lesser the people. BUT since you are a night owl, why not shop at say 2 or 3am? THAT is my favorite time to shop! Also, how far are you from civilization or how well do they know you at your local store, in fact, I think Krogers does it. Get on your computer (you are comfy there), go to the Kroger page, and order. A bit later (not 9pm) the groceries will appear on your doorstep and you don't even need to talk to the man! "Dad" can paypal the payment in ahead of time and it should be a go. My daughter has that service and she says it doesn't cost much more than going to the store!
Chances are a doctor would prescribe muscle relaxers..you don’t want to go there. You might have a touch of arthritis or discenigrating discs. Try putting heat on your neck a few times a day. My neck acts up now and then, that seems to help some..
Have you thought about a chiropractor? they can do wonders and my experience has been that they get you in and out fairly fast.
