I saw this over at Christina's Joyful Music and just had to share it. If only I knew this and embraced it when I was 25 or 15.
"Stay open to whatever life presents you with, because it will teach you something if you'll let it. It's about keeping an unbiased heart and mind. A lot of it is forming an unconditional friendship with yourself as you begin to see all the stuff you've been running away from."

In a word, Amen.
Hi Andrew...just wanted to come over and wish you a happy Wednesday. I'll be looking for your tales of the day!
Wow, that is great. I needed to hear that today.
Pema Chodron is amazing! She is an American woman who was ordained as a Buddhist nun. If you (or anyone else) liked that quote, I think you would get a lot out of some of her other writings. See: http://pemachodron.org/. She has great wisdom on how to live a peaceful life and how to come to peace with yourself and your circumstances/surroundings. I've learned a lot from her without ever having met her. I do hope she comes to speak somewhere near me, though.
Pema Chodron! Haven't read any of her stuff for a few years now. Thanks for reminding me. I'll see what the library has. What I have read of her writing has been really wonderful stuff.
Peace
