It is so easy to come to this blog and write about problems, but I feel good. I feel so good, in fact, that I've had a perpetual smile on my face all evening. I want to be able to come to this blog every night saying the same thing: no problems. I swear!
"What's gotten into you?" Rosa asked me a minute ago.
"I think my Luvox is working," I replied. "I never gave it much of a chance as I was always throwing up my medications."
"Dumbass," Rosa said jokingly. "Take your meds! I love to see you smile."
Charlie has yet to arrive with tonight's medications. I eagerly await my Benadryl. It always makes me sleep like a baby. I, too, welcome Charlie's company. I admire my father's best friend so much. He came from a family of fourteen children and had to claw his way to the top. He worked himself through college in his thirties and landed a primo job with the state. It always cheers me up to see him.
I also emailed The Homeless Guy and offered him a vacation from homelessness. I told him he could come and stay a few weeks and rest. I hate to see his blog die and from looking at his sitemeter, his blog isn't doing so well. Maybe a vacation will reinvigorate his desire to write and blog. His blog is still one of my favorites. I doubt I will hear from him though. He doesn't like me very much and never answers my emails.

It's so great to hear about your smiling, Andrew. :) I'm sure it's something Rosa enjoys seeing, too! How kind of you to reach out to Homeless Guy. Even if he doesn't respond at all, you DID make the effort.
Thanks for your comments on my blog...it makes me happy that youre reading along.
:)

Happy New Year Andrew!
I am glad you are feeling good! We had originally planned to leave for Chile on Janurary 14th but now we are changing it to January 9th. May I email you while I am there and share pictures and my experience?
Have a good visit with Charlie and a good night's rest.

I hope homeless guy doesn't take you up on it. You might never get rid of him. By the way, what it pineapple casserole?
Lacey,
It is hard to describe. It is pineapples in a pastry crust with melted cheddar. It tastes delicious.
I am so glad to see and hear, through and in your blog that you are on an upswing as of date. My prayer for you and your friends and family, is a healthy and happy new year, feelings God's grace in and thru your days, everyday. Glad to see Rosa is in your life right now, and that you are cooking for her and yourself again. Happy New Year friend!

Hmm, pineapple casserole sounds interesting, but I don't think I'll try to make that one though I love pineapples on my pizza. The black-eyes peas you mentioned in your video made me write because we have some on the stove.
I hate black-eyed peas, but its a traddition and I was trying to think of a way I could put them into a meat pie or something so I can continue the tradtion at my own house without wasting money. I'd eat them if I could come up with something. Any ideas?
We all love to see you smile! Say hello to Rosa for me and hug your Maggie too.
Happy New Years Day...I think with the medications it will be easier for you to deal with Charles instead of your dad. I have noticed that the days that you do not have contact with your dad seem better for you which I can understand. If homeleess guy comes I hope that you will feel safe for yourself and Rosa and Maggie and all. I am not saying do not to let him say I just an saying please be careful i will email you sometime soon.
Le Fleur,
I love black-eyed peas in vegetable soup. They go well in soups. I can't think of any other recipe though. I hope you are well. Take care of yourself and I appreciate the comments greatly. I appeciate all comments greatly.
Another happy post. I write that with a smile on my face for you!
Great idea to offer The Homeless Guy some respite from the streets. Unlike the comment above, I doubt he would stay long~independent and social anxiety. Would be a nice little vacation for him.
Vegetable soup? That's a good idea. Thanks, luv.
I'm glad you appreciate all the comments since I love reading your work and writing to you. Keep it up.
Nice to see you doing well and reaching out to someone.
Any flurries yet? Keeping my fingers crossed you get a few!
Good New Year Freind -
Keep up the good work. Have a great 2008! Cheers :-)
See?
Not drinking is COOL.
Hey your'e still very welcome to go hang with yer local aa's for an overpriced ? coffee, gasbagging and all sorts of other pointless (but actually rather good fun) things at aa meetings. you know they are actually not that bad! they are 'the pub with no beer'. meaning an excuse to talk about nothing in particular every day of the week.
whatever. alkies tend to do much better with other alikes instead of on their own you see, and this not drinking is clearly agreeing with you..
sounds like your new year is off to a good start.... hope it stays that way!!!

Andrew,
I've been doing some "catch up reading" in your blog and want to say how proud I am of you! You sound so much happier...and I'm glad Rosa is back in your life. Maggie is the cutest little dog!
The pineapple casserole caught my attention so I checked the recipe out on Food Network. The link is enclosed for anyone interested. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,1977,FOOD_9936_24448,00.html
I wish you a wonderful 2008.
I'm sooo glad you are feeling good. I had to take benedryl last night because i had an allergic reaction to the sweater I was wearing. Goodness did I sleep like a rock!
That was nice of you to offer the Homeless Guy a vacation. You are so giving!
