Contentment...

It is a cool and overcast day.  I was just sitting on my porch listening to Joyce's wind chimes in the gentle tropical storm winds.  I know she would now just do anything to be sitting with me alive.  It made me grateful for the moment.

I've felt so content lately and it is a good feeling.  For years, I felt something was lacking in my life.  One more drink spurred me on to disaster.  Now, I can pass on a drink and feel okay.  Content.

I bet that was Joy making the windchimes blow so you would think of her. She was sitting right there with you because se loved those times you spent together.
278 days sober! Can you believe it? I think you were the only one that didn't believe you could do it. Just look at you now. Holding down a job and enjoying life as it comes. I am so happy about that.

Contentment always feels better sitting on a porch, doesn't it?

You were a good friend to Joyce, nice her chimes are still up so you can think of her when you hear them.

Take care, my friend. I am always so inspired by you.

Like I said before, I remember when Joy was glanced upon your eyes as you moved into your home.

Her windchimes are a reminder to not forget her..are you good with building sounds? If so, I'd buy Joy's avenue chimes from you!

Sir:

I am very happy you have Joyce's wind chimes. They will help you keep her present in your mind. Loss is so hard in so many ways, and her death is so recent.

Are Joyce's chimes on her porch, or do you have them? You know how much pleasure mine give me. You'll always think of her when you hear them. I hope she's so happy now and out of her pain. You'll have your memories of a good friend, although having her here is what we'd all want.
