Today, Helen cooked baked ham, baked sweet potato, butterbeans, steamed cabbage, cole slaw, and cornbread. I can’t say enough how grateful I am for these Friday Southern cookin’ meals.
this makes me so hungry!! mouth watering! I like the pic of Maggie on your blog top. Very creative of you. Also glad George doing well....tell him hey for me!
that looks so good. it makes me hungry to see it. i am thinking about what to have for dinner now. it is really snowing here the most that we have gotten all winter and maybe last winter too. my patio door kept blowing open i had to put something against it so it would stay shut. gracie is barking up a storm today.liz
That baked sweet potato looks good!! We had collard greens and fried chicken at work yesterday...we all felt very Southern. But now we are being wolloped by snow and reminded we are Northeners! Mary (ox)
That's what I will get Helen to fix next week. Maybe some field peas, collard greens, fried chicken breasts, and her delectable biscuits!
I envy you of the snow. I know you all are tired of winter and all the winter weather. They weather here has been so boring for someone weather obsessed!
WOW! I have never been a fan of sweet potatoes (unless they're fried with chicken or ribs) but this photo makes my mouth water for it all!! And the cornbread...whoa!! A PERFECTLY WONDERFUL LOOKING CRUMBLY SWEET CRUSTY AND MOIST PIECE OF CORNBREAD.

Christina,
It was delicious. I ate every last morsel and am so full. I will be sure to tell George a good friend said hello! Have a great day today!

Liz,
Gracie knows something is up. Be careful and I hope you have enough to get by if you get snowed in. Take care of yourself!

Oh dear that looks so good!
Helen thanks you Lacey. I am so full I am VERY uncomfortable. I hate it when I overeat like that!
I'll take the ham and the cornbread. The rest, ah, not so much.
LOL Leann! I realized tonight the cabbage looked like a cat threw up on the plate! hehe That photo didn't come out too well.
