And a new day dawns…
It was 1am when I turned off my tablet and headed to bed. I fell asleep soon after hitting the hay and then Maggie got to barking loudly as if someone was in the yard. She has different barks for different situations. I got up and turned on all the outside lights and Maggie calmed back down and fell asleep on the couch. I climbed back into the bed about 4am. It seemed I had just gone back to sleep when there was a knock on the door. It was 8am.
“I am so sorry I am so early again,” Charlie said.
“Well, I would rather you be early than not to come at all,” I replied.
Charlie really appreciated that and told me so. He was in a hurry and was soon back on the road again. Maggie and I ate our breakfast and I tried to fall back asleep again, but once I am up there is no turning back. I got on the computer and started my day.
