Rosa and I both couldn't sleep this morning. I grew excited this morning in that the holidays are officially over. The world turns again. Kids go back to school. Businesses are back in full swing of things. Life marches ever forwards.
"Ugh!" Rosa exclaimed early at 5 a.m this morning. "The covers are soaking wet."
I've had a problem with night sweats. Big problem. I think it has something to do with my medications. The covers on my bed were literally wringing wet. We both got up and I threw my sheets into the washing machine. They needed washing anyway. It had been two weeks.
Breakfast was soon started. I walked to the grocery store last night and got one of my favorite breakfast comfort foods: cinnamon and raisin bagels. We ate the toasted bagels with peanut butter and a banana for each. Glasses of cold milk accompanied them.
"Sometimes the simplest breakfasts are the best," Rosa told me as we sat at my kitchen table in the predawn dark.
"Well, this is certainly easier than cooking and cleaning up," I replied.
Today I must get busy on contacting Vocational Rehabilitation. I never heard back from that case manager even though she said she would call.
"They're just busy," Charlie told me last night when he was over. "Remember? I work for the state."
I hope that is all it is. I need to find a 1-800 number on their website. I can't call long distance on my phone.

Your simple breakfast sounds so yummy!
Give Voc. Rehab a call today. Sometimes it helps to be the veritable "squeeky wheel"!
Thanks so much for commenting on my blog, Andrew. It really means alot to me. :)
Wishing you a wonderful, peaceful day....Hugs to you, Rosa and Maggie...
C.A.
I love to get up early while it's still dark. It's the only peaceful time around here.
hey there andrew--
haven't seen you around lately-- good to see you sounding good still.
and i can relate to rosas problem.. wth? age i think. bummer.
anyhow-- clean sheets are nice-- i had to wash mine too due to the night sweat thing. anyhow-- this is the only place i have written about that--don't you feel special... just kidding.
anyhow--yes do call vocational rehab.. sometimes ya gotta stay on those people or you fall through the cracks.. it's like dealing with VA.. just tooooo many people to deal with.
good luck with that..let us know how it goes.
happy monday.
I was having night sweats from Zoloft - once I reduced the dosage again it immediately stopped. So I think you're right regarding the meds. One of them is the culprit.
Sounds you had a nice healthy breakfast. The peanut butter has lots of protein- a great way to start the day. Have a great day today!
I love simple breakfast's like that!
have you ever had a bagel with lite creamcheese, tomato and than swiss cheese? Yum!
Bigdogg loves peanut butter on bread, bagels, toast, crackers.. :)
happy return to monday week!
Hi rosa! i've missed you!!
Always,
Crusty~
What a great healthy and easy breakfast. I'm at Panera's and had a cinnamon crunch bagel with hazelnut cream cheese (calories!) and 2 cups of robust blend coffee. I'm sporting a smile.
Good luck with your follow-up calls. You'll probably have to make even more. It's how the machine works, unfortunately. Have a great day!
You didn't put up a video yesterday. I missed it. You sound like my cousins... Nothing more comforting than a slow southern drawl to this deep south native! Good luck with Voc Rehab! I think this is a good track to be on.
I want a bagel for breakfast.
I like your new header a lot. I wanted to try a 3 column layout but now I can't get my banner into the header. :( Did you have to try over and over before Blogger would take the picture you uploaded? Anyhow, have a great day! :)
Dont you need a good old fashioned nap now that it is after noon? You and Rosa should crawl in bed for an afternoon of sleep and snuggle. You may not get sweaty since it isnt "night"...just a thought!
B~
I have night sweats too. It's made worse because I've always had a warm body. I radiate heat. Ugh.
I used to get night sweats when I took Effexor. I had to bring a towel to sleep with me.
Mmm, I haven't had cinnamon raisin bagels in a long time. Sounds good!
