They Found my Car...

I just talked to a detective on the phone. They found my car and it is locked. They need a key to get in and process evidence. I called my mother and she can't find my spare key. She's talking to the detectives now. The detective did say there was no damage to my car and it was in one piece. I hope they didn't dog out the engine and transmission. I am just so relieved it may get returned to me. You better be damned sure I will never leave my keys in my car anymore. It was a lesson hard learned. From now on it will be locked with the alarm on.

How wonderful! 2008 seems to be starting very well for you.

I hope the car is still in one piece on the inside as well as the outside. You have a Honda right? I know car thieves love to steal them for parts.

I am saddened that even in a small town where you live you still can't leave your car keys in the car.

Yipppeeeee! I'm as excited as you are. Thank goodness they found it and even if it needs repair of some kind you're still ahead. I suggest you change your coverage just in case. This year is starting off great for you. I have never lived in a small town so I don't even leave my car unlocked much less with the keys in it. Your guardian angel is looking out for you.

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! Where did they find it? Sad that even in a small town like yours something like this can happen. You can get another key from the Honda dealer using the VIN number. My husband just lost his Mustang key and we had to have the Ford dealer program a new key and fob. They aren't cheap, but a new key will be MUCH cheaper than another car. So glad your new year is going better.

hi andrew, I'm writing this with em's itouch and don't know how to capitolize yet. I've been waiting to hear that your car has been found, and here it is! I hope it's in perfect shape. Maybe it was used for a quick joy ride then abandoned. That's what i'm thinking. I'll be waiting to hear.

Cheryl,

That thrilled me to death you were commenting with Em's iTouch. I wish my mom was that cool. LOL Thank you all for the kind words.

That's wonderful news! Perhaps your detectives could find my sanity :P What's Em's iTouch?

Awesome!!!!!

Le Fleur,

An iTouch is an iphone without the calling and phone features. It is basically a wireless PDA. I love electronic gadgets and that just thrilled me Cheryl is using Emily's.

Oh, Andrew, that's just wonderful news! Crime can leave us feeling so shaken (having had my paypal account hacked into earlier today, I can testify to that!), but I'm so happy that it looks as though you're going to have your happy ending. Fantastic!

I am so glad they found your car. I have been reading for a while but never commented ( I don't think anyway maybe a long time ago my mind has tried to block out most of 2007 so...) Sounds like 2008 is getting off to a great start.
Nothing scares me more than making a "cold call" but ultimatly I manage and so will you.

Andrew,

Congratulations!

And if it makes you excited, the last three or so comments I've left on your blog have been texted from my phone :)

Update?????

Cheryl,

We never could find the spare key to my car. The detective said they could probably still get in by jymying the lock. They said it would most likely be tomorrow before I could pick it up and drive it home. I am very nervous that it is going to be in bad shape. I hope it is okay.

What great news! Here's hoping everything is ok with it. If you had a housekey on the same keyring as your car keys that you left in the car...make sure you change your house locks!

That is wonderful Andrew! I hope you find it in good working condition. Maybe it was just a "joy ride" and they left it in good shape.

I'm so happy to hear that they found it! I hope it is ok.

Oh wow, what great news Andrew! Try to be positive about the car being in good shape. As others have said, maybe someone without a car just borrowed it.

Where did they find it, far from your home or in your town? Just wondering.

This will turn out okay, I will keep my fingers crossed that all will be well. This is GREAT news :)

Glad to hear your car was found!!

Around here, criminals are stealing the catalytic converters from Honda's - I guess there is a market for these parts. But as another said, I hope it was just a joy ride and the car is 100% ok!

Take care...
