Down for the Count...

I spent most of yesterday afternoon in the emergency room.  Early in the day, I called dad. "I need you now more than ever.  Bring a Risperdal."  I was too far gone though.  Dad tried to nurse me through this, but when I lost motor control, he called the ambulance. It took hours for my memory to return and the whole ordeal is still kind of sketchy.   Ya know?  I've had a hard time with my mental illness lately.  It keeps kicking me when I'm down.  I pray I will have a reprieve today and a more normal day.  Maggie, bless her heart, squealed for glee when I walked through my door to home yesterday afternoon. How's that for a welcoming committee?

I am so glad that your dad was there for you. And that Maggie was so happy to see you home again!

I'll be praying for a calm, relaxing day for you . . . and many more behind that.

You have worked so hard to get so far. Keep plugging away, Andrew. We are all here for you!

Perhaps its time you tell your doctor and dad that you stopped taking the lithium?

Your decline may have something to do with that.

feel better.

How scary for you Andrew! It certainly sounds like your medications are not getting along or are you playing with the dosages? Andrew its imperative that your doctor knows exactly what you're taking and how much so this won't happen again. You don't have to tell your dad....just make sure your DOCTOR knows. Take care, Andrew...and we'll all pray that you won't have another incident like this! Hugs.

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling bad lately Andrew. I really hope things start to turn around. I think it's wonderful that Maggie was so happy to see you. Dont you love how our animals show their love when we are gone for a while?
