I've been watching way too much ShopNBC. I see all these cosmetic shows. Ya know? Women have to go through a lot of work to leave the house. And how do you learn to do this? Does your mom show you or teenagers? I don't think most guys ever think about this or appreciate what a woman does to look decent.

I think I taught myself and way to many photos of myself in purple eyeshadow to prove it.
I'm not sure I've got the quote exactly right, but Dolly Parton says something like, "It ain't easy to look this cheap!"
It doesn't matter if you go for the natural look - or really like to look painted up - it takes lots of time and energy. And have you seen the prices on that stuff!?
Amen, brotha!
And it is just such a pain in the butt...
:)
Belive me guys..it gets MUCH harder as you get( much)older LOL..I learnt from Mom,friends and experimenting on myself at a very early age...I couldn't leave the house without at least a little make up nowadays..but I do envy folk who dont have to wear any at all..i think it becomes a sort of habit (after too many years to remember)..but a little is definitely more past 60...for me anyway.
I think I taught myself by looking in magazines. I just had this conversation with my brother the other day. He didn't realize that most women dye their hair. He was actually shocked to find out all the women he asked said they did. Clueless dude. LOL!
My mom used to say, "a little powder n' a little paint makes a gal look like what she ain't". I learned what to do from her then as I got older, fine tuned it to suite me. To this day, I will not go anywhere without first putting on a little bit of makeup. I don't believe in overdoing it but a slight touch does wonders. LOL
I don't ware makeup. I don't know how to put it on and i think its a waste of money. You know bugger it, if people don't think i look good enough they can always look away right. I dunno, what a weird world. clowns and women. women and clowns.
