"See you later Jermaine, but I have to run good fella," I said shortly to him with a pat on the back as I scurried out the front door headed in a beeline towards my car. He tried to give me a man-hug, but I was out of his grasp in a moment's notice. Would it be wrong of me to buy Jermaine some deodorant?
Jermaine was carrying on something fierce about Auburn getting beat in the Sugar Bowl down in New Orleans. Laughing and gawking to anyone who would listen -- just another arrogant Alabama fan. I've met hundreds over the years.
Back to Planet Earth, Our Gaia...
Dad was worried I didn't get enough groceries.
"Here," he said to me as he handed me my cart. "I am going back in to go get you some frozen meals."
"Get me two Marie's lasagna meals," I told my father.
My father was right behind me after buying a loaf of bread and some of Marie's finest frozen concoctions and meals. He loves that Nature's Own honey wheat and it was soft and fresh tonight.
"What have you been taking tonight?" dad asked as I was acting bumfuzzled.
"I just woke up after a very deep sleep when you knocked on the door at home," I told my father apologetically. "I went 0 to 60 in a matter of moments."
Ah, scrutiny for breakfast in the morning.
