The view up my street looking past Joyce's home.
The view down my street. This street is often used as a thoroughfare to the local housing projects. The foot traffic drives Maggie crazy.
The Christmas tree on the town square. I love the star on top and need to get a night shot.
Our small and humble downtown that is about dead. Many of the store fronts are empty. People prefer to drive down to another town and frequent the dreaded Wal-Mart.

Walmart and it's "made in China" products are killing small town America. I hate it. I love your pictures though.
Your pictures are great. I love small towns.
Loved this visit to your town, Andrew, reminds me very much of the way I grew up!
It is indeed a very small town. I grew up on one much smaller. I can SO relate.
there are days I wished I lived in a small town. The lighting in these shots are fabulous.
oh man, sunshine! it looks so warm there...i envy you!
I really enjoyed seeing these pictures of your town. I can picture you there. I especially liked seeing your street. It does look quiet. And yes, the sky looks so blue.
I hate what the shopping malls and WalMarts have done to our downtowns and uptowns. I NEVER go to WalMart. I despise them.
Andrew,
I love the pictures of your town, very quaint :)
I can't wait to see a night shot of the star on the town tree.

My town square is much like yours, Andrew, and alot of it is do to Walmart in another town. Thank you for sharing. :)
I love the perfect shape of the tree. I bet it looks gorgeous all lit up at night.
I saw a beautiful christmas tree tonight all lit up. I tried to capture it, but rather knew it wouldn't work before I tried because I didn't have the tripod with me. It blurred majorly.I will have to snap it another night when we have more time (and didn't have a flat tire!!! that ran us later at work)
It's so cold here this morning.BRRR!
You mentioned singing Christmas carols. I was singing them too this morning and on the way home was trying to sing 12 days of Christmas but forgetting what the 11th one was.
Sorry for the long comment. (as always)

sad that your downtown is dying. here in the northeast where i live, they are making a comeback!
i hate walmart and will not shop there - don't care how cheap it is.
have you seen "the high price of low cost?" http://www.walmartmovie.com/

I hate Walmart. I try really hard to spend my money on fair trade and local items. I have really been trying to do this for all the presents I am buying. As usual, your photos are a joy.
