I should have never put that anti-AA blurb on my profile. AA is a good program! It has given millions hope and a new lease on life. I just couldn't deal with the religious aspects of the program. It just didn't fit for ME. Not the many who get sober using it. I will still recommend the program for people who ask.

Hi Andrew,
Im confused by something you wrote and wonder if you can explain it a bit more.
You say that AA is a good program, yet not that many people get sober using it? How can it be good if it doesnt work? What statistics do you have to justify *not that many get sober using it*? Im always wanting to learn more and wonder if you have read something I have not.
I have to say that so many folks I have seen leave AA typically says similar things in order to justify thier leaving AA to prevent feelings of guilt for leaving and trying to manage the disease without help. Does that make any sense to you?
What are your thoughts?
That just seems like a polite way to pick an Internet fight. I don't much feel up to debate today. I'm just some guy on some obscure blog on the Internet who enjoys mainly writting about my life. Take care, but I am not going to "bite."
Oh, and I am often wrong. To err is to be human as the old saying goes.
Sir:
I do not know for certain, but HapJoy seems a bit of a troll-sort. He/she is the same one who gave you grief about your essay about your Mother's digestive accident.
I may be wrong, HapJoy, and if I am I apologize... but why be an antagonist?

I think Hap-Joy mis-read your sentence. I know I had to re-read it a couple of times.
