I don't have much to say today. Tonight, at midnight I will be 5 days smoke free. I am experiencing some pretty harsh withdrawals today. This process has also played havoc with my sinuses. Hope to be able to say I am smoke free tomorrow!
After 36 hours it's out of your system. What remains is the tar in your lungs and that will be coughed out in the coming years. You done five days - see: You do not need it. There'll be some rough days, but if you made it that far you can hang on.
Well Done on 5 days smoking free Andrew..one day at a time you & can master it...completely...do something you really enjoy to take your mind off it..Maggie will love you for it as well, its like passive smoking,it has to affect her as she is only little. Just think how much fitter you will eventually be..even more walks for Maggie...the withdrawal symptoms will ease off eventually and you WILL start to feel so good Show those folk who say you are too weak to do it that they are lightweights ..not you.
Good luck Andrew. I know you can do it!! That is one of the hardest habits to break. My son uses lolipops in place of cigarettes when he is trying to quit. :-)
Finding something oral to replace cigarretes might help. Sugar free popscicles (so you don't get fat) or fudgescicles, or hard candy or chew on a toothpick or a straw. % days is awesome..Keep busy and it will get easier as you progress. You can do this. I'm proud of you.
Wanna hear something great? My doctor told me that after 15 years of not smoking, its as if you've never smoked at all. Everything is all cleaned up...no more toxins.
one thing that will help get the crud out of you is grapefruit juice the vitamin C in it helps to scrub out the pollutants from your blood and lungs. I have heard it takes three days to form a habbit and 21 to stop one. SO...you have formed a non smoking habbit now and are well on your way to ridding yourself of the smoking one. you are doing AWESOME!!!

Keep at it! Goof luck...oops I mean good luck!
This may be hard to believe now, but eventually your sinuses will thank you for the step you've taken. Hang in there.
I am so proud of you for working hard at this!
Speaking from experience, two things I can help to conquer the evil weed: carrot and/or celery sticks and push-ups.
(And the occasional cigar or plug of smokeless tobacco. Sad to say. But you go!)
(...just what you need from me on your blog this morning: typos!)

Glad to hear it!! :-)
You can do it!
Glad you're doing well so far! If Maggie's help consists of getting you hooked on Milk Bones - well, I guess that's not quite as bad as cigarettes!!
Go work with the trains - good distraction, don't ya think?!

I just read your Twitter posts. I laughed at the Internet addiction. Completely understood! How's the keyboard doing? *wink*
