We walked over into George's pitch black backyard with my little flashlight guiding our way.
"There is water running out of George's laundry room which he hit with his car, and it has been running for days apparently," I told my father. "And I also haven't seen him in over a week."
"He must be in some kind of treatment center right now," my inquisitive fathered added.
"I hope it is that simple," I told my father. "Let's hope he's not in jail."
Dad said he didn't have any clue what was happening either.
"I do know he is going to have to get that leak fixed, or he is going to have one hell of a utility bill."

Andrew...you need to at least knock on his door to see if he is ok.
Maybe you could call the township or whoever to get it turned off!!! Be a good neighbour!
Someone needs to turn off that water! id call the police, they would be able to get in And maybe turn it off at the meter or at least contact someone to get it off at the street..the whole house could be flooded!
Yes, please knock on the door and if no answer call the police to do wellness check. One of my biggest fears living alone and having no children is that I will fall ill or get hurt and no one will notice or check on me. You are seeing a problem...the water running check up on him. and if he's not home turn off the water at the meter if needed.
