It is hard to believe that such a cold night could turn out a day such as today. The temps are almost eighty and I have every window open in my house. A wonderful, soothing, calming breeze is blowing through. Having the porch door open also means bliss for Maggie. She can run outside to check on the yard without running to the back of the house to go outside.
This morning was spent helping my mother gather up all my grandmother's summer clothes. We took them to her house and then gathered the winter clothes she needed. Anything involving my grandmother can grow overly complicated though. We struggled to find all her favorite clothes she listed. Black sweaters. Brown pants. Pink pantsuits. It all seemed to muddle together in one big clothing maelstrom. We then drove the long drive to another town to take them to her at the nursing home.
Went for another walk after lunch. I am feeling much, much better today. I almost had an attack gathering all those clothes, but it passed once we got in the car and my mother started driving. It was a beautiful fall day for a walk and I am going to get some pictures up for Summer. Let me go get busy!

Hi Andrew. Am so glad you're feeling good today! One always has to treasure these moments of happiness and contentment - as fleeting as they often appear to be - cos they really are the most precious gifts...
I myself am focussing on positive blogging this week - let's see if we can all create an atmosphere of joy and positivity!
Much love to you :-))
I think clothes sorting could give anyone a panic attack! That was kind of you to help though. It is sunny here today too. Crisp and cold. Its warm when you're inside with the sun shining in, but awfully cold if you go outside.
i was just sittin here thinking of how i need to do that---get some winter clothes out...too bad i don't get paid for thinking! i'd be rich!!!
I don't even like sorting clothes to do laundry. I commend you for doing this for your grandmother.
This time of year can be my favorite. The time of year when the heavy handed heat of summer gives way to the crisp, welcome breezes of autumn and nature becomes an art gallery, showing off her myriads of colors.
I wish I took more time to just walk around and soak up all that there is to see and enjoy this time of year.
I love an unexpectedly beautiful day, especially one with a breeze.Sounds like it was a good one for you. Very cool that the panic attack got started, but the distraction of your mother driving took it away. Your focus was changed. I think that's the secret.
We have beautiful warm weather today here too - I wish I could have been Maggie, going inside and out at my pleasure. As it was, I was stuck at the Reception Desk all day. Doing all that clothes sorting and moving doesn't sound like much fun, but I know your mom was grateful for your assistance. Any chance that your grandma for once said thank you? ;-)
Glad you had a busy day and that that you were able to keep the panic at bay. I almost had one last week, but I just try to relax and breathe and that has usually heads them off. They are less scary now that I realize I have some control.
I am sure your mom appreciated your help! That is a big job to do alone.
80's??? Okay, I'm coming to your state..it's too cold here!
Always,
Crusty~
