I get your blog updates through my email and read through them bottom to top since that puts them in order. Anyway, I love that you're doing the video blogging. I also love that you were playing with Maggie like a kid.. too many "adults" would rather sit than play with an animal that they've taken as their own. I don't have pets because I wouldn't be a good pet owner. You're a great one! I hope the attacks ease up on you. Also, I'm still hoping that your dad will somehow find a way to understand how he makes you feel. Hang in there and good luck with the job hunting!
I love the video blogs! How fun. And I have to say, I am envious of your computer. Mine is so old, its embarrassing. I think I'll post a pic of my writing space later. Looks like you have a great system there.
About the jobs, call them. Hound them and make them know that you are serious and that you want this job.
You know you said you just want to be okay. And because you want it, I know you will be. It may take time, but the fact that you aren't just taking it sitting down means so much.
hi andrew im so glad to see your beautiful house and hear you talking . i think you will be ok once you focus on one thing at a time . your trying to do too many things at once. :) keep up the good work love the vid blogs
I like that, the pic of your blog..that's a cool idea!! Well, this will be shortlived on the comments because Sullivan is throwing a temper tantrum..grrr...I think I have to go back and browse my own vlogs about him and his spinning lollipop. :) Always, Crusty P.s. I got excited to see that your ads had chicago listed in them today!and it's beautiful here today!! 50's I think.
I'm glad that you're feeling better today. I hope you haven't given up the volunteer work - they do need you there you know!
I am glad you don't get panic attacks in the night. When I was going through that a couple of times I would wake up with my heart pounding and start feeling panicky. Not a good way to wake up - especially in the middle of the night.
Do you want to let your Father know how he makes you feel? Or do other's wish for him to know how you feel?
Write your feelings on paper. Tell him how he makes you feel. Use I language, something he can't dispute. Very theraputic, and a possible relief of your feelings.
I adore your voice, and that which you give way for other's to hear, and see.
I love your videos. It makes you seem more of a real person. I think you would be surprised about all the people you think are "normal" and living normal lives. Everyone has weird thoughts and inner murmurings. We try to make our lives look and seem normal on the outside. I'm not sure if that is for other people or us. The panic attacks are just a symptom of your inner turnmoil. When your life is more settled, they will subside. Carry a brown bag with you. I think someone else mentioned it also. It works when you are hyprventilating. Do you like movies? Maybe check out some videos at the library. Not sure if they have them at yours. I know the library here likes volunteers though... Would you be interested in something like that? Also try Target. They are hiring here seasonally, maybe there too. Also Petsmart here hires people for stocking at night when they are closed. That might be a good choice too if you have one and you can apply online.
I like your daily video idea. It brings your world a little closer to us. And thanks for the mention...that was a nice surprise! I don't understand about video size...is that because I have a fast connection and don't notice it?
How fun to hear your voice again, I love you talking to us. It makes me smile every time! So glad that today went better for you, Andrew. I'm sure all that tension with your dad didn't help things. Is there anyone at the more distant AA Meetings that might be able to pick you up now and then when you don't feel like driving? Is it something you could mention at a meeting? You might make a new friend or two that way! I'd love to see more of YOU on the video too - and of course sweet Maggie! I will most certainly stick with you - we all help keep each other going - that's the whole idea! :-)
Love the video blog. Glad you are feeling better. Keep walking and drinking lots of WATER. As for the Representative Payee your Dad now has with your SSI, you can go to the Social Security office and ask them how you can get this changed to another party, such as an attorney or accountant. If you could do this, perhaps it would help the relationship between you and your Dad and the other party would not be "emotionally" involved like your Dad. Andrew, if he didn't love you he wouldn't be trying to protect you and your means of a living (your SSI).
You are such a sweetie. Thank you so much for mentioning me. You are so kind. However, I don't feel like my life is normal. It is abnormally busy. I wish I had more time to relax, to work on hobbies, to read more, to just spend more time with people I love. Again, I am so happy to be your friend. You mean more to me and others than you might realize. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend.
you are always welcome andrew, your blog is such an inspiration and the way you treat us so dearly even at the expense of your own privacy is very appreciated, so sweet of you indeed^^

Glad you're feeling better today. Must have been the chocolate ;)
You should put that camera on a tripod and sit in front of it to do your video blogs!

You're very brave. Thanks for sharing in such an immediate way. November's bound to be better.
Take care.
