Venus is usually the brightest, due to the clouds and the sun's reflection. What a pretty sunset... all clouds tonight in my part of the world and I'm envious of this amazing picture.
I saw the prettiest sunset ever the other day, three different colors with clouds like sheep. I longed for my camera as well as some of your talent, but I guess I'll just write a poem about it.
You write so much in a day I can barely keep up sometimes, but please don't stop being you because we'd miss you too much. I'm sure you would too.
I plan to go outside shortly and look. You're fortunate to live in an area that must get really dark. There's lots of lights here. I did go outside last night to look and there were so many stars. Tonight looks clear, I think.
Great pictures, you should look into selling your digital images. There are tons of sites available that buy your images.
Beautiful photo and loved the Sunday afternoon video with Maggie. Great that your mom stopped by with the groceries.
Have a nice evening...
FYI, judging by the angle, I'd bet that's Jupiter which is in the southwest sky around sunset this time of year.
If you have a set of binoculars, you should hunt down comet 17P/Holmes which recently became a spectacular nighttime celestial treat!
BTW, nice video blog today! Thanks as always for sharing.
awesome, absolutely awesome!! Wish we could see the stars but way too many clouds around :-(
I love the feeling that your night photo gave me, Andrew. It is now the background on my monitor. Perfect for me at the moment! :-)
After twelve years of therapy my psychiatrist said something that brought tears to my eyes. He said, "No hablo ingles."
I am fascinated by the night sky. This is a beautiful picture. My favorite view of the sky was on a hilltop in the middle of the Alaskan winter. There were so many stars it was breath taking. I got dizzy looking up and spinning around for so long! Thanks for bringing that memory back!
YOU HAVE SERIOSLY TO MUCH FREE TIME ON YOUR HANDS!!!GET A FUCKING JOB!!!
Geez Anonymous! You don't have to shout. I have a job and it is giving you something to rant about. You would be bored without me. hehe
Can I save the first picture? It is beautiful.
You have class Andrew, a quality not many possess.
Gaviota,
The picture is yours for the taking. So pleased you enjoyed it. Hope you're having a great end to the weekend!
Once again, a fab picture up there! I am also still wondering about the whole bowling ball deal. Talk about an optical illusion, right?
Nice pictures there! I also like the new profile picture.
What a beautiful shot! I am one of those that misses all the great shots, by the time I find my camera, the moment has passed :)
Good for you Andrew!! Good for you from the anonhider up above!
What's wrong with us using our time? It's better than wasting it, and you're not wasting it, you're using it with your gifts-very very smart!
Beautiful picture..I actually like the grain in the pic...as if they are trying to mask the beauty of the bright star..and yet it still shines!! Very very cool!
always,
Crusty~
Gracias amigo!
