Last Day is Wednesday…

Mrs. Barbara finally hired someone to take my position at the Humane Society. His name is Raphael and he is a little Hispanic fellow who speaks impeccable English. I showed him today how to do everything and what his chores will be. He eagerly followed my directions just overjoyed to have a job. I will come in Wednesday and supervise one last time to make sure he knows the ropes – probably only working a few hours. I need a break. I am totally burned out. I want to sleep late for a change during the week and just be plain lazy (I think I’ve earned it!). Tracy is torn with the arrangements – not getting to see me every other morning during the week. She will adjust in no time. She’s out of school and can see me every night if she wants to.

Last night, Tracy sent me a link to this song and dedicated it to me. She knows I love Joni Mitchell. I just adore this song and hadn’t heard it in years. I messaged her back that I loved it and hoped she felt that way about me after her three year fiasco with Michael (ex boyfriend) and his philandering ways.

Talking Music…

I was overjoyed to have found Luscious Jackson again after all these years. Their being an all girl band has always intrigued me over the years. The Beastie Boys gave them their big push into the limelight. I remember hearing that song Naked Eye on the radio and searched far and wide for the CD and couldn’t find it. I found their other albums, though, and enjoyed them immensely. I don’t post songs to the blog frivolously. They are songs I truly enjoy and like. I just want to share my enthusiasm for certain music.

Now, I am all smitten with Tracey Chattaway’s compositions. She’s put up a lot of music on YouTube and her songs evoke a lot of emotion out of me. Longing feelings for Tracy, joy to be alive, and wanderlust to just name a few emotions. I am going to purchase her new album Secret Garden in a day or so – gotta get up the courage to use the debit card online. I am going to get a copy for Tracy as well. I better call Papa and make sure it is okay, of course. I am listening to the album right now on YouTube as I write this, but I would also like to listen to it in my car and support Tracey’s efforts as well. It is truly a beautiful work of art. Her album Starlight is also a beautiful work of art. Might as well buy that when I buy the others.

Together / Your Hand in Mine (Radio Edit) by Tracey Chattaway

I just dedicated this song to Tracy by sending her the link via instant messenger.

Eikona - Out of Reach

I’ve discovered a new genre of music called Chillout! Many of the songs follow the same formula, but some are just hauntingly beautiful – soothing to my soul. Search YouTube for Phelian, Azelah, Eikona, among others.

My Ode to Benadryl Anthem...

More Technobeats from Phantogram...

Phantogram has quickly become my current favorite band. I call this video the "jiggly boobie" video as there is quite a lot of that going on which amuses me. You might want to fullscreen it to get the full effect! :-)
