"Jesus Christ," I heard my father mumble when my psychiatrist prescribed me 75 Klonopin for one month today. Klonopin is very similar to Valium.
"He used to wouldn't prescribe you 20 a month and now this," Dad continued as we walked out to his car. "I don't get the man."
Of course, I was perfectly happy to have more of the only pills that seem to stop an anxiety attack when they start.
"At least we won't run out," I said taking a positive turn on events.
Tomorrow, Dad and I head for Columbus, Georgia to talk to the neurosurgeon and finalize any details for my surgery. Dad is worried all of this doctor shit and appointment crap is going to send me over the edge.
"If you let her," my father said on the drive home. "Your mother can got your life appointed and anointed."

Ahhh, you're in the process of redesigning your blog! I just did that on Friday. A new look is fun for a change.
I'm sure that the doctor visits add a more stress to your life, but I also believe in you and your inner strength enough to know that you will get thru it all ok. You've come such a long way since I met you Andrew, and I love that you are taking the steps necessary for your care! Dad worries, all dads worry, it comes in the job description. :-)
seems you are doing good with the anxiety from what you write. Hope the surgery goes well. If you come up on a new back, I could use one....I'll pay the shipping:D
Hi Andrew, this is Ryan (I used to maintain a blog called “The Life of Ryan”). I came across your blog during September 2007 in an Internet café whilst holidaying in Cyprus. This may seem random and possibly a bit odd to you but I’d just like to say thank you. Your writing inspired me to change the content of my blog from current events to more personal musings. In the subsequent time spent writing about such content, my writing improved and I gained the courage to write about personal issues. Your photography inspired me to purchase the camera with which you take your blog pictures – photography ties in nicely with filmmaking, which I then started to take an interest in. My interest in photography waned; I sold the Canon and added the money to some other cash I had lying around and purchased my first HD video camera.
Now my first drama film (and my proper debut(s) as writer, director and editor), “Save Me”, is currently in pre-production and is due to be released in August. I hope to win a few competitions with it – the actors I have chosen for the project have said that they were blown away by the content of the script; that they were genuinely shocked a sixteen-year-old could write such powerful stuff and place himself into a scenario he has never experienced (and probably never will) and still manage to convey said scenario accurately and emotionally. They were equally amazed by the quality of my film editing, shown to them via previous projects. Now they can’t wait to see how I direct.
I would like you to know that without your inspiration I would not have had the skill to write such well-received scripts. Nor would I have had the money – from the Canon you inspired me to get – to purchase an HD camera, thus boosting my motivation to take filmmaking seriously. (Ironically, the camera was sold to an associate of mine who would later become a main supporting character in my upcoming film.) I hope to be a full-time director / screenwriter / editor in the not-too-distant future. I’m not sure whether you would agree with the following idea, but it would be an honour for me to dedicate a film to you. I don’t know which one yet, but I have a few projects (currently in different stages of production) going on. I hope you will accept this dedication. I hope the surgery goes well. I don't recall you speaking of what type of surgery you are suppose to be having so I hope it works out for the best.
