When it Rains, It Pours

Well, it seems I have to buy a new computer with my good computer having finally died. I am relying on an old computer I have had since 2001 which is slow at best. The only way I can afford one is through credit with Dell. I have priced a computer that will be $75 dollars a month. I was starting this month to put $150 of my monthly income into a savings account. That money will now be diverted into buying me a new computer -- one that will last for years.

The camera never arrived much to my disappointment. I was so excited that I made myself take a nap so the time would go by faster. I haven't been this excited since last Christmas when I received my former camera which I dropped and ruined. I am not able to afford to do much shopping so this was a special treat.

I cooked a supper of chicken strips, mashed potatoes, english peas, and stewed apples for me and Rosa tonight. It was a simple meal, but was delicious. It is my dear Rosa's turn to cook supper tomorrow night. I requested her German potato salad -- one of my favorites that she cooks.

Sorry about your computer Andrew, hopefully that damned camera will be there any day. Maybe that will help to ease the pain of the computer. How are you able to post now? The library? Maybe you should take a look at refurbished computers. Not the best, but it would get you through the day.

Take care, try not to worry too much.

Sorry about the computer! That sucks. I think they build in obsolescence. Mine last an average of 3.5 years generally, before they blow up. I hope your next one lasts a bit longer..

I'm so sorry your camera isn't here. Do you have any idea why it's taking so long? I hate waiting for things to arrive in the mail. Did you buy extra insurance for your camera? I did, this time. It will be fixed or replaced even if I drop it in water. I learned my lesson with my last camera.

When I see a new picture on your blog, I'll know you got it.

Oh man, I hate it when that happens with computers, Andrew. My sypathies are with you. I would give up many things before my 'puter! Mine is getting old too, and is developing more and more problems. I want to replace it with a laptop eventually, so that I can always take my blog along with me if I go on a journey! (Serious addiction here, I know! :-) I hope your camera comes tomorrow. We can't wait to see some lovely pictures up here. Will we finally get to see your Rosa, will she pose for us?

Your supper sounds lovely to me, much better than the cereal I had! (I was too lazy to cook anything better.) I sure wish you lived next door!

If I lived next door to you I'd be sitting on your couch every evening waiting for an invitation to dinner.

Sorry about the computer. I'm glad you have a back up until you buy a new one.

I bought an HP laptop last year. It replaced my Dell which was a piece of junk really. I love it as I can take it with me outside or if I go somewhere with WiFi. The only drawback is the battery only last about a year or so if you use it a lot so now I have to buy a new one or stay hooked up to an outlet. Just think you could take it outide on your porch and blog.

Look at laptops, that way you can take it with you. I prefer our laptop to the "big" computer. My computer expert tell me Dell is a pile of junk. You might want to reconsider with another brand. Your supper sounds wonderful. Post Rosa's recipe for her German potato salad. I LOVE potato salad, but never make it because my hubby won't eat it.
