Busy...

I am finally moved in and have been so for four days now. Maggie is having the hardest time adjusting. She will only be a year old come July 20. I love my new house. The bad thing is that internet connectivity will be sporadic for a week or so. The holidays got the cable company all screwed up and they "might" not get my internet installed at my new home until next week. I am dying without being online to do my normal weather related watching and reading.

I have picked up Rosa everyday and we sit all day out on my screened in porch drinking sweet tea, smoking cigars, and talking with the radio on. Rosa still can't believe that my father bought me that house and gave it to me. I tried to assure her that there will be strings attached.

Well, enough of me rambling. I am off to get my shot for my schizophrenia soon and must drive home to get a shower and put on some clean and butt accessible clothes. I am missing you all and hope to at least write once a day down at the library.

Glad you are ok. I was worried after the last post. I think most everything in life has strings, hopefully yours won't be too bad. I'm sure it's nice to be farther away from your dad and not have him so "in your face". Still it's nice to know someone always cares what happens to you. Maggie will adjust soon. We moved last year and our dog was 7. He adjusted quickly. Unfortunately he passed away from a heart problem we didn't know he had not long after. We have 2 more dogs now. Both under a year. Sometimes they're a pain, but I love them.

I thought you were in the process of moving and knew you'd be busy. And then there's the internet. I wondered if it would be up and running. Like you said, thank goodness for the library (and neighbors). I hope your service gets straightened up after the holiday. Will you get to see fireworks?

Congrats on the house! I sympathize about beng w/o the 'net. When our computer was down for a couple of days, it was torture!

It would drive me crazy to be without the internet for that long! I'm glad you're ok and hanging out with Rosa. Have a wonderful holiday!

Ugh, I don't envy you the Internet hassles, Andrew. But hang in there, they'll get to it, and we'll be here waiting for ya! :-) I am happy for your new house with distance from your father, I understand the strings, but hopefully it still will prove to be a blessing. Give Maggie a little time, she'll settle in!

I'm so happy that you got all moved into your new home. Know that Maggie will adjust...she is still a puppy after all. I have Jackson who is a Australian mix and he will be a year old soon...and HE has a hard time adjusting...to everything...LOL.

Hope all is going well. Glad to hear you are still around!

Congrats on getting moved in. Sorry to hear that the internet isn't a definite right now, but it will be soon enough. As for the strings attached, let's just hope it isn't rope, but more like satin ties. I'm sure your dad, controlling as he seems to be, loves you very much and only wants the best for you.

Hugs and congrats again.

I agree with Angela, just happened to find your blog, and I find it interesting, I struggle with major depression, have for years, and I always enjoy hearing that some of us who struggle with mental illness find some relief. keep it up!

Aren't monopolies great? Wonder if the cable company would have a problem if you told them that with the holiday coming up, you might not be able to get to paying their bill until a week after they demanded it.
=)

I want a screened in porch, some sweet tea and a "Rosa".

Happy Independence Day. Perhaps that phrase a more meaning to you this year.

Poor woof woof Maggie..I hope she's doing better now.
Yum, sweet tea on the porch...sounds delightful.
Hope the storms haven't been too bad up in AL-there's been some doozies down here in florida (I'm on vacation) as well as what I read about the flash floods in KA and OK.
ALways,
