Helen Friday’s…

Mom just stopped by with Helen’s meal today.  This afternoon, she cooked turnip greens, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato patties, baked chicken and cornbread.  I am going to eat and then head to bed – my Ambien and Klonopin already hitting hard.

Suthern food! Yum!!! 'Cept for them brussel sprouts...ick. :~P Too bad that chicken wasn't FRIED tho. I bet yer really missin' Helen's fried delicacies (due to your parent's diet)...chicken, poke chops, chicken-fried steak...oh lawsy! Makin' myself hungry!
To your readers...sweet tater patties can be home-made (recipe here...http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1950,147172-240199,00.html), but purdy good if purchased frozen. Regardless... YUM...MY! Fry 'em in butta.. with a lil cinnamon sugah...OMG!
Congrats on your promotion! You are more than qualified. I think the limited interaction (late-nite hours), with the public will make the transition easier for you to handle, be beneficial, and a momentous stepping-stone for you in the long run. Much luck!
p.s. Got a tech question for ya'. Will e-mail you.
Thanks!
