Revised Computer Part Wishlist...
The Journey to Johnny's...
Mom and Mrs. Sandra ate pizza last night at Johnny's New York Style Pizzeria. Mom called me at almost ten to come pick up the leftover pizza before she could eat it all. She said she already felt bloated. It was some of the best cold pizza I have ever tasted. I was like OMG while eating it. The Italian sausage was exquisite.
I was glad mom got out and about last night. Mrs. Sandra is a classy lady and knew mom needed a friend at the moment. Mom has basically stayed in the bed since my father left. She only ventures out for her many appointments.

Grocery Shopping in the Express Lane...
![]() |
Fortified with Vitamins and Minerals |
Charlie sounded like he was at a football game there was so much noise in the backroom.
Well, this was a welcomed surprise. I hurried to Kroger, spent $62 dollars, and had my groceries put away in record time. Charlie showed up later to administer my medications and I gave him my receipt to give to dad for his records.
We both laughed heartily...
I got pretty much the standard fare for me minus breakfast foods. I am making spaghetti and meat sauce tomorrow. I got my 24 Snack Pak chocolate puddings, and my 2 quarts of hazelnut coffee creamer. I also got my two big bags of Frosted Flakes and 3 gallons of milk. My biggest expense was buying 2 packs of $8 dollar ground chuck for my spaghetti sauce.
Sleep! Blissful Sleep!

CHEESE EGGS!!!! |
"Mom, I am going to lay down for awhile," I deliriously told her and we got off the phone.
Mom kept asking me if it was 8:30 pm at night. lol We certainly were the crew this morning. I was slumped over in deprivation like Quasimodo during the call asking mom to keep repeating herself. Mom's words were garbled -- word salad as a friend once called my writing one night.
I slept from about 8:30 am until 6:00 pm this afternoon. Maggie thoroughly enjoyed herself as well. She is really feeling her oats this afternoon. The weather is wonderful, too, so she is spending lots of time laying on the back deck.
Now, to coordinate Charlie's and my grocery trip. I am out of everything to cook with. I am going to need lots of breakfast foods. I better go make a list. eggs, Eggs, EGGS!

What got me off kilter I believe was having to stay up to go get my injection last Friday. I was going to bed at 4 am like clockwork.. Somehow, that upset my sleep balance and schedules.
I defrosted that Clark Bros. sausage I had in the freezer. It takes forever to cook, but it is so, so delicious. Maggie had a fit for more when I gave her a bite. Hopefully, dad and I can make a trip to Clark Bros. Meats soon to restock our dwindling supplies. They also have some of the best hoop cheddar I have ever eaten made on the premises. It makes the best grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese eggs. It is really sharp cheddar.
I am going to wait another hour or two and if I am not asleep then I am heading down to the tracks for a day of rail fanning. Maybe I can catch a few videos of freights roaring through downtown. I also noticed an idling locomotive yesterday behind where they are tearing down that old cotton mill. That must mean they put in a siding for more rail adventures.

Logitech Z523 Speakers -- This is what I Added to My Want List...
I own a pair of these speakers and they have great sound at a great price. They usually run around $100 and work with almost all computers. Taunt bass and crisp treble are the highlights of these speakers. I want to add an extra pair to my gaming computer.

The Great Sloth...
That's me! The Great Sloth! I can barely move!
I just called Uncle Charlie on his cellphone and told him no groceries tonight (my father would freak out). He said that was fine and that he would see me in a little while for the medication ritual. I've done all this cleaning and now I don't feel like doing anything else. It's sloth time around Andrew's house -- "go slow" as the Unions would say.
Mom did bring me a very ample portion of delicious chicken fajitas, though, and I have that Beefaroni from today for tomorrow. I also have a loaf of bread for mayonnaise sandwiches. In the freezer, I have some of that absolutely delectable Clark Bros. sausage and I am debating on thawing it out and cooking it for breakfast tomorrow.
An Aside: Why, in the South, do people say they will be there in a little while and it ends up being 2 or 3 hours later?
The Arrival and Departure of the Most Hallowed One...
Well, Charlie arrived and left about as fast as he came. We quickly fed and watered the Magster and took my medications. He had Horsefly at the bowling alley he said. That always makes me cringe when Charlie leaves Horsefly at the bowling alley alone like that.
Charlie also checked out my whole house and told me I had earned that $250 dollars. I know I am getting greedy, but dad had mentioned adding my birthday money so that will give me $350 dollars to spend. My birthday is in April. I do hope so. I am going to add on some nice $100 computer speakers for my new computer.

Tip Toeing Around Tigers...
I just called mom and told her to put together a care package for me. I told her I was hungry and thirsty. She put 3 Big Bowl Beefaroni's in a sack along with 6 diet Cokes. Ah, nutrition!
"Didn't y'all get groceries last night?" mom asked suspiciously.
"We cleaned my computer room instead," I told my mother. "We are going tonight, though."
"Mrs. Sandra and I are going to eat at El Rio Grande tonight and I will bring you some chicken fajitas around seven," my mother replied.
I thanked my mother and we got off the phone.
Groceries? What Happened?
Frankly, I didn't feel up to it. I didn't want to get mired in all that rigmarole last night. The thought of having to unload all those groceries was abhorrent and tiresome. I was content to take my crazy medications and keep calm and quiet last night. Lay low. I could never get away with that with my father, though. Charlie and I are going tonight I hope.
"Don't you dare tell your mother we didn't get groceries," Charlie told me last night. "She will call me a hundred times fretting and worrying!"
He knows The Secretary well.
I've already got my mind set on another round of spaghetti and meat-sauce using my revised recipe. I also want lots of breakfast foods this week. Two bags of my frosted flakes and 4 gallons of milk and then I will be situated for the week. My sweet this week will be a repeat of previous weeks and I will get chocolate pudding after a two week hiatus. The modus operandi tonight is to get in and out as quick as possible minimizing the impact on Charlie.

Backbone of my New Build...
This is my new motherboard and processor. The Asus Z97-Deluxe. The processor is a lowly 3.6 GHz quad core i5 processor, but it will do the job minus the extra 2 MB cache the i7 has. When my new parts are ordered and arrive then I will have a new computer to toy with. This new computer will most likely have a home on my kitchen table or I may buy a new desk for use in my computer room.
A Clean Computer Room...
Whew! I am almost finished with this cleaning business. I still have to mop a few floors and do a mound of laundry then I will be finished. Once I got some headway the cleaning grew to be contagious as each room fell to my mighty mop and broom.

The Great Wall of Boxes is Kaput...
After the medication ritual, I asked Charlie for advice tonight on how to get all those countless boxes out of my house that were in the computer room. Charlie is the master at cleaning.
"Let's get to work," Charlie told me diving in much to my great surprise.
We had the wall of boxes broken down and cleared up in no time and into the back of Charlie's Caprica. I thanked Charlie profusely! Charlie did most of the work as I stood there hapless wondering what to do next.
Now, I have to figure out something to do with all these old computer cases (closet?) and then I will straighten up the shelves. I do not dare part with them.

Great Salutations...
This was my biggest, most toilsome, and dirtiest room to tackle. I had many years worth of computer part and computer accessory detritus to clean up. Like a packrat, it seems I can't throw anything away. Maggie is just mystified at this new room to explore. I usually keep it closed off. She is laying on the rug in the sunlight as I write this.
Gathering Consumable Baubles...
I just called my worrisome mother, The Secretary, with my fingers crossed. We were on touchy territory with the question I was about to ask. Mom worries I will have an anxiety attack if I drink too many sodas.
"Mom put today's sodas out with yesterday's if you will," I asked.
"You want 12 sodas?" she asked. "Should you be drinking 12 sodas?"
"Yes ma'am," I replied. "I never got yesterday's sodas."
Mom said she would put them together and put both sacks on the back porch. Whew! She started to balk, but she pulled through for me. It is fiesta time at Andrew's house!

Free Range Charlies...
"I am running early," Charlie said to me as he stepped into the house.
"By all means," I told heir Charlie. "Come on inside. We welcome early here."
Charlie brought me the 3pc. original KFC meal. We then took my many medications. Charlie was then headed to my parent's house to deliver mom's chicken box to her. Sunday nights are always a whirlwind of a visit. Charlie had his own family to feed as well.
"Charlie's on his way," I told my mother giving her a status update.
Mom likes it when I do that.
"I didn't expect him for several more hours," mom told me.
"I know. He's early tonight."
KFC's chicken can best be described as bland despite the 11 herbs and spices. Maybe I need to try that new Nashville hot fried chicken they are advertising and talking about. I used to love their tender roast chicken sandwich but alas, they quit selling it.

Yo! Bring Out the Dog Police...
Well, the natives have been very restless tonight. Maggie has barked outside for hours until she is almost hoarse. No amount of coaxing would bring her back inside. Food. Nothing.
I walked down the back steps and I guess Maggie thought I was going to join in on the fun as she redoubled her barking efforts. I picked her up with a slight whimper and a wiggle, brought her inside, and locked the dog door. She looked at me so indignantly as we stood in the laundry room. I think the neighborhood let out a collective sigh of relief. She's not going back out until Charlie brings breakfast biscuits in the morning. Let's hope her bladder and colon are up to the task. She has never once had an accident in the house and we don't want to start now.
Speaking of Charlie, he called me about 11 pm about Sunday morning biscuits.
"Polly (Charlie's sister) wants bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits in the morning," Charlie said. "Do you want sausage biscuits or bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits?"
"Get me the same as Polly," I replied hungrily.
The two McDonald's bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits I had for breakfast Friday were absolutely delicious. They tasted very buttery and rich.

Watch Out! He's Got a Sponge!
Well, I tackled my bedroom tonight and this early morning. It looks so much better. I had just drawers and drawers of old computer software and computer hardware driver discs and they all went out to the trash. I then got busy cleaning my closet. I rediscovered clothes that I haven't seen in several years -- nice clothes at that. Next on the agenda was getting my comforter washed and dried along with my sheets. I just have finished sweeping and sat down in front of this computer for a break. I think that's it for me tonight as far as cleaning goes. Charlie will be here in about three or four hours.
A Few Hours Later...
The slightest bit of light is on the horizon and it is 6:40 am. That means my father is on the way to Atlanta to catch a plane to Tampa, Florida. I am now in Charlie's capable hands. One nice thing about Charlie doing the medication ritual is he brings you fast food and an ex-large drink every night. I can get spoiled really quick and feel deprived when my father takes back the helm. It is also going to be very interesting buying groceries with Charlie tomorrow night.

Por Favor y Gracious...
Dad's arms were just full of good stuff tonight. We took my medications. I then got some more Fabuloso cleaner. I also got a plate full of four bobby burgers on it and some Johnny Otis style baked beans, and I also got my sodas and a pack of grape flavored cigars as well.
"Let's go get you some gas and some treats. I leave for the cruise in the morning, We're flying out to Tampa at an ungodly hour," my father told me.
We drove down to the Circle K on the corner and I got a tank of gas at my mother's request, two pickled sausages, and a big 32oz Sobe Citrus drink.

An Extra Mouth to Feed...
I just called mom and told her to please ask my illustrious father to bring my sodas when he comes for the medication ritual.
"What are y'all doing?" I then asked my mother.
"I am reading a book while your father is cooking supper," mom replied. "We are having Bobby burgers again tonight."
Mom has called me several times today asking me if I am alright about what happened last night.
Dad then got on the phone.
"You hungry? Do you want a couple of Bobby burgers?" he asked.
"Most definitely yes, please!" I exclaimed excitedly.
"I'll be over around nine for the medication ritual and I'll bring you some burgers," dad replied.
I thanked him once again and we got off the phone.
Right now, I am seriously craving more of those Tijuana Mama hot pickled sausages. We may have to make a run to the Circle K around midnight.

This little creature has been especially busy this afternoon and tonight. Maggie has sat near the fence and barked for what seems like hours. I don't know what bug she's got up her butt but she is certainly busy.

Medications! You're Doing it Wrong!

As Horsefly says, everybody bowls a gutter ball sometimes. Boy, did mom and I bowl a gutter ball today.
I was just over at my parent's house. I was picking up my sodas and mom had the back door open meaning she wanted me to visit for awhile.
"I feel so nervous tonight," I told my mother as I sat on the couch fidgeting.
"Do you want three Xanax to take?" my mother asked innocently almost like a demure dope dealer.
"Would you mind?" the addict in me asked as the cogs and wheels of my addictive brain began to turn.
Well, that set forth a firestorm of phone calls for the past 45 minutes.
"Maybe I shouldn't have given you those Xanax," my mother told me over the phone. "How do you feel?"
"I feel fine mom, but maybe we won't do that again, okay?" I told her. "I had a weak moment when you offered."
"Call me in thirty more minutes to tell me how you are feeling."
I told her I would.
"I am just worried about you taking that Xanax with your regular medications at nine," mom told me.
"I'm really feeling fine. Just a little numb to the world around me, but I will be okay."
If my father knew she gave me Xanax then the shit would hit the fan. Mom made me promise not to tell him.
Spring is On the Way!
It is starting to look like spring here. The yards are greening up and daffodils are blooming everywhere. I love that the nighttime insects have returned.
Behind my neighbor's house!
Let's Settle Down Now. Settle Down...
It is going on 4 am. I've just got my second wind with cleaning. I was just in the laundry room hanging up shirts when dearest Maggie poked her head in through the dog door. "Have things settled down some?" she seemed to be asking. I do believe Maggie was abused as a puppy as she is so sensitive to noise and lots of activity. This is her house as well and I think she feels amiss when things are moved around and cleaned. She hurriedly passed me and headed straight to the bed where I took that photo.
I think I am going to continue cleaning until time to go get my injection. I will only get 4 hours of sleep if I go to bed now. Who knows, I may just have to collapse on the bed in another hour. We are just going to play it by ear.

I took a much-deserved break and drove down to the Circle K on the corner and purchased one of my favorite drinks. Sobe Citrus. I saw one of the prettiest policewomen I have ever seen gassing up her patrol car. The clerk was hurriedly mopping the floor as I walked inside. I apologized for stepping on her wet floors.
"You can't help it, baby," the diminutive black lady replied nicely.
While I was there, I picked up a couple of those red-hot pickled sausages I so love. I got the Tijuana Mama which is 300% hotter than the regular sausages. My eyes are still watering.

I love this photo of Iris. She is so gorgeous. |
He will not join Facebook because he says he will be inundated with friend requests.
"You need to set up a stealth Facebook account called Jimmy Reese who lives in Milwaukee," I told him with an amused smile. "And then you can very selectively choose what friends to have with your alias."
"Play that Iris DeMent song for me one more time!" dad then exclaimed before leaving. "Turn it up! Now wouldn't that get all the religious folks stirred up around here in the South?"
"To confound the Christians," I added. "She also plays a lot of religious songs as well."
"Play May the Circle Be Unbroken next," my father urged me. "Momma would have liked that! She always said it was too sad for funerals, though."
I was just in the kitchen getting a Coke after dad had left when Maggie poked her head inside the dog door. "Coast clear? Is the madman gone?" she seemed to impart and I started smiling. She crawled back through the dog door and went and got on the bed.

I have just awakened after sleeping all day. I was in the bed by 3 am ever cognizant of my injection in the morning at 9 am. It would give me about 5 hours of sleep before I would have to stir again and head to the pharmacy. I just looked at the clock as it read 5:50 pm and realized I forgot my Risperdal injection this morning. I just called my father and he forgot as well. I didn't wake once until 5:50 pm.
"I have the prescription filled," my father said dourly and shaken. "I will bring it home and call Rebecca in the morning."
"I need to be the one taking care of all of this," I told my father forcefully and it got off with him. "This is my healthcare we are talking about. It doesn't have to be this complicated."
"You would never get down there to get it injected dodo head!" my father exclaimed aggravated with me.
Grrrrr...
In a perfect world, my father would bring the injection to me the night before while we are doing my medication ritual. I would just drive down to Kamath Medical in the morning, get the injection, and drive home. Simple.
Oh well, we all bowl a gutter bowl sometimes as Horsefly will often say. It is mostly my fault for not setting my alarm clock and leaning on my father to call and wake me up at 8 am. He said he was running really late for work this morning and just forgot. A lesson learned and filed away in the lobes of my sometimes ailing brain.
Welcome, She Who Bears Fruit...
Mom just brought Mexican by tonight. Maggie had a fit to see her so she came inside for awhile.
"I about can't walk up your steps," mom told me with a laugh and then she told me how good it smells in my house.
"I got you chicken fajitas as that is what you like," she then told me.
"Thank you," I replied. "I am very hungry tonight."
"Let me see what you have done," mom asked. "Your daddy says you are really making some progress with your house."
I showed her all around the house -- basically, all the rooms I have cleaned.
I haven't gotten that much done so far today as I woke so late, but we have many hours ahead to get busy cleaning.

He bought a bunch of new clothes for the cruise today and was washing and drying them. The last load took longer than he thought it would. Mom is like the central nexus of the family relaying messages, status updates, and stuff. One must be a diligent Secretary to aspire to the role.
My father is off to the grocery store now to do my parent's shopping as he does every Wednesday night. I told him to get me some that "Fabuloso" cleaner to mop my kitchen floors with, but I betcha $100 he will forget. I can't fault him as I am just like him and got that same gene. We have to write it down and bring a list or we won't get it. Update: my mother is calling him to tell him to get me a big bottle of Fabuloso. Duck and run for cover lol! I am going to be in trouble!

"I am going to get Martha to get you up something to do next," my father is going to say when he brings that Fabuloso by my house after shopping tonight. "I am going to tell her that you need some appointments scheduled."
OMG! Garlic meet Vampire!
Well, it will be 10:50 pm almost down to the second when my medications take effect. I have about 20 highly anticipated minutes to wait. Right now, I am enjoying a very pleasant cherry hinted Swisher Sweets cigar.

Now I Lay My Head to Rest...
Well, the bathroom is completely spotless after hours of work. I scrubbed and scrubbed and then mopped the floor. That was my biggest cleaning job so it's all downhill from here. I will work on the kitchen tomorrow which is still pretty clean from the last time Charlie got ahold of it on Sunday, but I do need to sweep and mop the floors really good. Then we will move to the laundry room with my bedroom being the last room. The computer room door is just going to stay shut until further notice lol. That $250 of computer part money is now looking obtainable.
Dad is cooking scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast for supper. He just called asked if I wanted to come eat. "You betcha!" I replied excitedly. Breakfast for supper is one of my favorite meals and you all know how much I adore breakfast. We will complete Maggie's ritual and my Crazy Med ritual tonight at nine as dad wants to see my bathroom.

The Destroyer of Couches...
This is why I could never buy a nice couch. Maggie uses them as her own personal Jungle Jim. She will sit on those cushions for hours "on the lookout"! If something bothers her, she will head outside to investigate.

Papa Was Pleased...
"It smells so clean in here!" he said excitedly. "Not like a stinky dog and stale cigarette smoke. You can really clean when you set your mind to it. Always could."
I laughed wholeheartedly as Maggie tried to look innocent on the floor by us. We were sitting on the couch.
"I started on the kitchen tonight and will finish it tomorrow. All my groceries are put away and my stovetop is clean along with the countertops."
"I am so proud of you!" dad said as we turned our attention to taking my nightly crazy meds. "I am going to get you up some more cleaning supplies tomorrow. You need some of that Murphy's oil soap to mop your hardwood floors with. I also want to see that bathroom spotless in a few days."

Onto Somber Matters...
Today was the 44th anniversary of my grandfather's passing. Mom was eight months pregnant with me when he passed away. Dad said he so wanted to see me, his first grandchild, and held on until the very bitter end.

Charlie? Here's $250! Will You Clean My House?
I just thought of that this afternoon as I was standing in line at the Piggly Wiggly buying frozen biscuits and a hunk of cheddar. Dad calls Charlie his Jewish friend. He is the master at cleaning houses. Surely Charlie will clean my house for $250 -- the $250 dollars we were going to use for computer parts. I just do not have it within myself to do it alone. I would help Charlie and he could supervise me to what I need to do next. I would clean my bathroom as that is my dirtiest room in the house. I just don't have any idea of how to get started. I need help!
My Favorite Pastime these Days...
I spent another enjoyable afternoon down at the tracks. My snack today was cheese on wheat crackers and a can of Vienna sausages and Saltines. I saw a few freight trains, but not many. One was a Williams Bros. unit coal train that was interesting. Coal is heavy and it was pulled by three SD90MACs. See? I do know some of the newer locomotives. The Electromotive locomotives are easier to tell apart than the General Electric ones.
Must...Have...Risperidone...
My injection in the derriere is this week and I just called my father at work for him to make sure they have one in stock. He assured me he would look.
"Do you have enough groceries?" my father asked snarkily with a laugh.
"Yes!" I replied excitedly as he laughed. "And it is a very good feeling. I haven't had this much food since April of a few years ago when a $100 grocery trip was my birthday present."
And Let The Cleaning Commence...
Well, the den is now very clean and tidy and it is the most lived in room -- the room beside my computer room that needed the most attention. I am just going to do one room a day until I get the whole house done. One step at a time grasshopper. I should take only a few hours per room. I got a headstart on the kitchen and will finish cleaning it tomorrow.

Mr. Big Spender...

We stood in the frozen meals area as dad loaded up my cart with countless frozen meals -- stuff I usually wouldn't buy but intriguing meals that will be interesting to try. He got a lot of Italian and Asian themed meals for the most part. I almost didn't have room in my little freezer for all of them.
"You're getting a windfall tonight, son," he told me as I stood by his side. "You will have plenty to eat this week. I'm paying for this out of my checking account."
I ran the gamut of foods from chili dip (with no beans) to Fritos and to apple pie filling and deluxe Kroger vanilla ice cream. My cheap sweet was unfrosted strawberry Pop-Tarts. I got two large boxes. I also got two quarts of that delicious International Delight hazelnut coffee creamer I so rave about these days. That was $12 and some change alone. My two big bags of frosted flakes were accompanied by 4 gallons of sweet milk.
Breakfast foods were on the agenda as well. I bought eggs, bacon, and sausage forgetting my usual frozen biscuits and cheddar cheese. I will get those at the Piggly Wiggly tomorrow.
"You forgot your two Mountain Dews," dad said in an enlightened moment and with an alarmed tone as we walked out to our cars.
I had a deer in the headlights look on my face.
"Go ahead, start unloading your groceries into your car, and I will go buy them via self-checkout."
I thanked my father profusely for remembering that. That's my favorite thing about grocery night is to drink those two drinks while I am writing my weekly grocery day debriefing.

Wild Things Run Fast...
I kinda got myself in a tizzy over this cleaning stuff dad is wanting me to do. Everywhere I look now is something that needs to be cleaned or polished. If I died tomorrow, none of this would matter. The dirty house. The laundry that needs to be done. My messy refrigerator. I am just gonna run the opposite direction the next time my father mentions cleaning. You can't hurt me if you can't catch me. Oh, and you can keep the computer parts money.
