I very much like these images that show abstract, graphical structures. See the little dots of blue in the right upper corner? You worked on these photographs?
All I did was to unsharp mask the photo to sharpen the edges and then up the color saturation to bring out the green color of the lichen. I am learned, but photoshop has a steep learning curve.

If I get you right you made the background more unsharp and put emphasis on the edges.
And you did it again - yes? You canged the lichen since my last visit, I swear it is more detailed now. Or am I just a victim of my own imagination?
