This Japanese maple continues to captivate me. I've never seen anything more beautiful as far as fall trees go. I saw the perfect mix of low hanging sunlight and the burgundy fire of leaves, and captured it.
I took a similar photo in my time in Japan, but in the gap between the branches I could see Nagano-castle. I'll have to post that sometime in my Japan memories, just for you... what gorgeous colors...again, thanks for sharing.
I just love Japanese maple trees. I think they are so beautiful. I doubt they grow well here though. Have you ever seen a Royal Poinciana tree in bloom? They are glorious.

I tried to take pictures of a tree with beautiful red leaves yesterday, but it didn't look real. I couldn't capture it like I wanted. Like you did.
