My fair city lit its Christmas decorations tonight. Every lamp post and utility pole in this small southern town has a new ornament lit in beautiful greens, reds, and whites. I am getting so excited about Christmas -- my favorite time of the year.
I'm glad you got your camera back! I enjoyed seeing the pictures of your town all decorated up. I love this season too. Our town lights up the tree and decorates on Dec 1.
I just love Christmas lights. When I was a child they were strung on wires across all the downtown street, it was beautiful! These are really pretty too! My town has gone with dumb printed holiday flags that are hardly noticeable and can't even be seen at night. What a waste of money, it is the lights that we enjoy! Thanks for sharing these Andrew! :-)
This time of the year is very special and I like it a lot too. Not so much for the material possessions that everybody is SO, SO wrapped up in, but because of the simple joys like the beautiful lights on streets, yummy food and time together with the ones you love and care about.

Good Morning to You. I should be asleep but I've been playing around with my new microphone and trying to work on audio files for my Spanish learning blog. Amazing how critical I am of myself when I hear my voice played back to me. Armando assures me it sounds ok. I hope so!

I love this time of year too. We got our tree up today, not yet decorated, but its up.

I absolutely LOVE the Christmas season but this year I am questioning why I celebrate it and what motivates me to care.
Each year as the kids get older and older and further and further away, the more difficult it is.

This post reminds me of a town I grew up in. The made the town water tower into the shape of a bell with red lights. Brings back memories.
