Let the Children Play!

I turned on anonymous commenting.  Let's hope I have thicker skin this go around and tolerate the anonymous jibes and criticism better!  I do so in the hopes that my old college friend Laura may be able to join in as well.

You're brave! I won't turn on anonymous commenting not only to keep the nasty comments away but also the spammers.

Irish,

It may prove to be a disaster, but I'm going to give it a try. I've got to get a thicker skin and give people the option to comment without repercussion. Thank you as always for your comments. I really look up to you, you know that?

Anon,

Mrs. Florene fixes her's with American cheese slices, salt and pepper, and eggs. This is also how she makes her omelets along with The Waffle House.

Thought I'd let you know that I love your Blog. Have been reading it for some years now and check it several times a day to see if there is something new in your life. You have accomplished a lot and it has taken a lot of strength.
Proud of you. Jet

PS when is it going to snow there? need to see your pics of snow on the groun!

Christina,

It takes a VERY special set of conditions to get snow this far South. I doubt we will get any, but it doesn't stop me from getting so, so excited - like a kid at Christmas!

well you had snow last winter, I saw the pics. Im in Miami, so we will never see it :(

Let it snow!

Andrew said...

Christina,

It was on March 1st that we had the decent snow. I have a video and will have to post it.

You are brave to want to develop a thicker skin, but so far so good with the anonymous comments.

What does it feel like to have so many people admire and look up to you? You are amazing and such a good writer.

Anon in India,

Sorry to hear about your brother. I've been through my own personal hell as well so can understand. Thanks for reading!

Lena!

It will probably end in disaster, but I'm trying it.

Aw shucks, thanks for the kind words. My readers are the stars so to speak, though.

I don't think anyone's skin is thick enough for the things people can say when no one knows who they are. I am happy to see so many positive comments from anonymous readers. It has been a long journey for you and your recovery. I think you are doing so well. Your circumstances are harder than most, having to deal with the schizophrenia. I am in awe of you.

Lacey, it is people like you for which I blog. You are a gem in a sea of sand. Thank you for the kind words. You are my own personal sweetheart!

Hi Andrew..just to let you know i dont find your blogs boring in any way..just a reflection of how you are feeling and vary varied..no-one would read them if they didn't enjoy them...but then again i think i may be one of those 'cheery old ladies' that Anonymous spoke about LOL...many of us oldies have LOTS of opinions and are not afraid to air them...but there is a time and a place..!!! i have 2 blogs..one chatty, one much more serious..i would be happy to hear the views of that particular person..even if they are diametrically opposed to my own..that is what makes life intersting...but i enjoy your blog for what it is..only change the content if & when YOU want to Andrew....lots of folk love you & your blog..Take Care...Joy ( a rather old lady)

Joy,

You are not old. I'm old! At least, I feel that way. Old mentally. I am kind of excited about the more interesting anonymous comments. We will just have to wait and see what unfolds!

This must be a sign I should quit lurking and make with a comment then. I've been reading your blog off and on for a few months. I think you are doing a bang up job, both with the writing and with managing life. Happy holidays down there!

Jen, thank you so much and thank you for coming out so to speak. Coomments mean so much to me! Take care of yourself!
