your vice is cigarettes... my vice is sugar... both can be very bad for you, especially in large quantities. Sugar is not good for me because diabetes runs big time in the family... we all have our vices... :-)
Interesting how your cheerleaders still label your smoking as a " vice" and an "evil"! According to your ' blame the illness , not the man' stance , they aren't scientifically literate enough to know that schizophrenia impairs your perception of reality, reasoning ability and impulse control to such a degree that to morally judge your behavior is unfair and ignorant . Your " disease in the brain " , as your dad puts it , has sadly rendered you a slave to your passions , an amoral creature who really shouldn't be blamed for anything. Nobody expects you to exercise self-control or to make rational choices. That is why a court has stripped you of the legal rights of a competent adult. If you were to go get stinko drunk again, no one should be surprised since you are supposed to have the feral innocence of an unfallen Adam and the will power of an untrained seal . Rather, your dad should be blamed for not keeping you on a short enough leash. I DISAGREE with the above viewpoint. I think you do too , although you find it convenient to feign helplessness at times.-SARGE
I enjoyed that article greatly. I had known the GABAnergic neuronal link associated with our shared passion for tobacco. The other link with schizophrenia deficits in other neurotransmitter agents was very logical and interesting.
That is why you should consider getting the pipe your father offered... pipe tobacco has more nicotine so you get the positive aspect while smoking less often.... and it is cheaper.

Most anyone with a former addiction also smoke....I think smoking is the lesser of two evils..
To keep from pulling all their hair out! Pretty much the same reason that I smoke!

I quite smoking 8 yrs. ago and I can say it was the hardest thing I ever did..They say its easier for men to quite...Dont know why that is..
