Elementary, My Dear!

I was disappointed by my ranking. I was hoping for at least middle school! LOL

I'm pretty sure the only reason mine ranked at the college level is because of me transcribing what was on a few landmark plaques.

Bah. I've always thought your writing was fairly eloquent. I enjoy hearing about your daily musings, and the stuff of real life.

Better that, than lots of hot air about politics, bureaucracy, and the Bush administration.

Surely it's better to have an elementry level blog than say graduate level. At least with an elementary level you know everyone, people of all intellectual levels can read and understand your writing.

I actually think having it rated as elementary level is quite a compliment. To be able to describe your life and events is such a rich and interesting manner using such accessible language requires a lot of writing talent. Congratulations!

My mother, who worked for the gov'mint during the Great Depression, used to say, "When you write a letter, write it as dumb as you know how." I was 40 years old before I figured out what she meant. "Dumb as you know how," means "Write in simple sentences that anyone can understand."

Elementary Reading Level means that anyone who reads on a grade school level can comprehend what you're talking about. It has nothing to do with Content, of which yours is very good.
