When anyone comes near our house Dixie and Rascal go nuts! We have figured out their language. Sometimes it's, "Somebody is walking down OUR street!". Then we have, "The garbage man is stealing our garbage!". But the loudest and most enthusiastic is always their, "Oh my God, it's the next door neighbor, coming to kill us all!"
As irritating as the constant barking is, they are wonderful to have around! Yes, our mighty protectors!
