Hey Andrew,If you want to get more color out of your flower pics, change the white balance setting to cloudy even if it is bright daylight. You will get some cool efects.

I'm thinking there's something odd about that picture. It looks too harsh like you fiddled with it after taking it and it's not quite right.
I love how some of the leaves are standing up straight, and the half-open flower and the couple just barely opening flowers.
