How I Make an Attitude of Gratitude Video…

019I start out with my Canon camera on a tripod.  I usually just sit on the bed.  I am lucky that my view screen on my camera can be opened and swiveled forward so that I can see what is being recorded. I record the video making a daily fool of myself then upload it to my computer via a USB cable.

Next, I open Windows Live Movie Maker which can be downloaded for free.  The file size of the video is usually very large often 300 to 400 Mb.  I want to get this down to a small size so I “save as” for email or instant messaging.   This gets the file size down to around 10 to 15 Mb so as to be easily uploaded quickly to YouTube. I don’t have much patience.

Live Writer

Next, I open up Windows Live Writer which is also a free download.  I select insert video and upload the video directly through Windows Live Writer to YouTube with my YouTube account.  It will ask for your username and password.  This is a great feature of Windows Live Writer and makes publishing videos to your blog a breeze.  It takes about ten or fifteen minutes to upload and process and then you just hit publish and it is on your blog.
