It is really gusty with torrential rain at the moment. It has pretty much rained heavily since I got home from the Humane Society. We still have power obviously. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get 4 or 5 inches of rain out of this storm.
I think it came thru last night sometime. Could you check just above I-40 East near KY? Certainly the River house has seen this before? Be safe!
For a giggle, here was our flood plan. I put Mr Bee in his cage. I take Mr Bee and Jezzy and walk to the boat. Unhook the boat from the trailer and put pets in. If boat is floating, take it with me. Otherwise go back to house and put Buster in a pillowcase. Put him in the boat. Oh yeah, while grabbing Buster, grab the paddles. Now we are all in the boat. As the water rises, push out from under boatport. And float till the water recedes. Then, this is a light alum boat, pick up the boat and put it back on the trailer.
But now we have no Jezzy! But it's still a plan....Do you have a plan? (BTW, you should carry a copy of Maggie's rabies certificate in your wallet. It doesn't take much room and sometimes, it is needed. Even if she doesn't bite.)
