Sleep, overtake me...

I so wish I could just sleep normally. Thanks for allowing me to vent. It is 4 in the morning with nothing to do, but listen to the radio and smoke cigarettes. I have been up since three AM. I wish I could just go crawl into the bed and sleep for days. I can only sleep around five hours and I am wide awake and it is a broken sleep at that. I sure could use a good dream about now. No nightmares please.

Hi Andrew, concerning this lack of sleep why not considering organizing a daily "routine" where you would dedicate some time to writing, spending time on the computer, groceries shopping, whatever... then also do some regular walking or some other form of exercice? It seems to me this kind of schedule might help in giving you a sense of accomplishment in various ways.
I was also wondering if you couldn't benefit from natural medicine such as acupunture for example. I did that once when I was under a lot of stress and after 10 minutes with 4 needles in my body I couldn' t help falling asleep in the doctor's office... my nights were great too. Why not giving it a try?

Sounds like I'm lecturing am I not? Apologies!

Take care,

Laurent

We all dream whether we remember or not.

Here's a tip. Before you go to sleep say out loud 20 times... I will remember my dreams. Then say 20 times to yourself silently the same thing. You WILL start to remember them.

I know how you feel... I sleep very little and very lightly. When I wake up in the middle of the night and feel unable to go back to sleep, I just get up and open my computer. Sometimes I spend 2 hours before I feel sleepy again, sometimes I'm back in bed very quickly, other times I just stay up!
C'est la vie... :)
