The potato salad was a special request from me for my father. Mom also put lots of peppery and spicy hot sauce on my turnip greens just like I like it, fiery hot. We have company in town – one of my father’s cousins and her son are staying over waiting for a flight to Denver. Atlanta’s airport is just 45 minutes from my parent’s house. She said she wanted a “down home” cooked meal and my father delivered. I was thankful the pork tenderloin wasn’t the marinated in peppercorns kind. It was just marinated in garlic and a light brine.
Dessert was red velvet cake with a butter nut cream icing. Charlie’s sister, Polly, made it.
