I say that over and over all the time and fail to do it too. I just had a bad computer user caused screw-up to happen. It was purely my impatience that caused it. Samsung notified me that a new firmware update was available for my solid state drive. I was upgrading the perfectly working drive's firmware and it was taking a long time so I hit reset on the computer and
it erased the freaking drive! I should have left good enough alone! Thankfully, I've got the drive up and running Windows 10 from a system restore I had of that drive stored on a DVD-RW disc. Everything is back to normal now. Whew!
