Mmmmmmmm...please don't wish for one of those. Aside from the fact that they're prohibitively expensive to use, they create a ton of environmental waste. The pods aren't recyclable or biodegradable. :(

I have one and you can purchase a kCup to use your own ground coffee. It cost about 15 dollars. The pre-filled kcups are expensive.
I use the refillable kcup and Dunkin Donuts Coffee. The unit pictured is on sale at Target for 99$.

I love mine. You can use regular coffee in the permanant k-cup holder-( these are about 15 dollars-and they last forever) Also the model shown can also brew by the pot for company. I find I waste less coffee, as I dont pour stale coffee down the sink, and making it a cup at a time has also cut down on my one pot a morning habit.LOL Best thing I ever bought !

I have one I don't use anymore...it was costing about $50 a month for K cups and I only drink usually 3 cups a day...I'm now using my old electric percolator......I think the old fashion percolator makes the best coffee...if you prefer the flavored coffee the k cups would be good but ...you can always buy the flavored creamers to put in your regular coffee...I think your father might balk at spending the extra money for k cups every week...
